Sacrificiul iertarii

“El a purtat pacatele noastre in trupul Sau, pe lemn, pentru ca noi, fiind morti fata de pacate, sa traim pentru neprihanire; prin ranile Lui ati fost vindecati.” 1 Petru 2 : 24
Pacatele omenirii apasau ca o povara pe umerii Lui. In trupul Sau fara vina, negreala pacatelor lasa urme adanci de necuratie, de nelegiuire, de blestem. Si ce imagine crea! Picioarele acelea prafuite de drumurile colindate erau strapunse de cuie si sangele curs din ele se prelingea in josul crucii. Mainile Sale care altadata vindecau felurite boli, mangaiau obraji brazdati de lacrimi, alinau dureri, erau si ele strapunse de cuie. Intinse pe lemnul crucii, ele pareau sa cuprinda toata omenirea intr-o imbratisare calda de mama iubitoare ce stie a ierta. Fata Lui, pana nu demult senina si zambitoare, inca mai pastra din blandetea-I aparte. Buzele Sale se inchisera intr-o dureroasa tacere, urechile Ii auzeau cuvintele injurioase rostite la adresa Sa, precum si plansul sfasietor al inimilor care au crezut in El. Dar ochii, ochii erau aceiasi! Privirea la fel de patrunzatoare si de adanca de puteai sa te afunzi cu totul in caldura-I binefacatoare.   
Omul din El suferea cumplit chinurile groaznice, urmele batailor nemiloase, cuiele din maini si din picioare, coroana de spini de pe frunte. Insa mai grea decat durerea fizica era cea interioara: lupta mintii. Dar El stia ca pentru aceasta venise: sa rascumpere omenirea prin moartea Sa pe cruce. Nu conta voia Sa, ci voia Tatalui ceresc si acum El implinea planul de salvare de sub robia pacatului. Si mai stia ca nici chiar moartea nu-I va putea sta in cale caci dupa trei zile o va birui, inviind dintre cei morti si apoi se va ridica inapoi la cer langa Tatal Sau. De aceea, acum, cu un efort sfasietor isi striga Tatal si isi incredinta Duhul in mainile Sale. Cuvintele zburara in ecouri naucitoare pana la ceruri asteptand parca un raspuns de acolo. Dar in cer e tacere…

Cand Usa Nu Se Deschide …

Ti s-a intamplat vreodata sa petreci singur-singurel, departe de familie, de prieteni si biserica, una din sarbatorile mari ale credintei crestine? Poate ai fost trimis in delegatie in alt oras, poate ai iesit din cazarma pentru cateva ore cu bilet de voie, pe cand erai militar in termen. Poate, ca elev sau student, la sute de kilometri de casa parinteasca, ai ratacit la intamplare prin oras, nestiind incotro s-o apuci. Poate ca traversezi chiar in aceste zile pustiul de gheata al singuratatii umane …
Frumusetea sarbatorii paleste fara tovarasia celor dragi. Cadrul adecvat pentru bucurie este partasia. In conditiile cele mai putin fericite, chiar tovarasia unor straini este preferabila singuratatii si poate implini nevoia de partasie a inimii, macar la nivelul ei de baza. Asa se explica exuberanta in masa a oamenilor, cand sarbatoresc un eveniment deosebit, cum ar fi izbanda unei revolutii dezrobitoare, biruinta in razboi, sau chiar un eveniment frivol cum este victoria echipei favorite de fotbal. Momentele de bucurie intensa trebuiesc impartasite. Oamenii dau buzna in strada, striga, canta si imbratiseaza niste necunoscuti.
Ori, poate in momente de singuratate, ai nutrit dorinta sa vizitezi o familie recomandata de parinti la plecarea ta de acasa. Te-ai grabit, plin de sperante, spre adresa cautata. Ai apasat cu emotie butonul si auzeai zbarnaitul strident al soneriei dincolo de usa. Ti se parea ca toti vecinii de pe scara blocului aud soneria si-i simteai parca spionandu-te prin vizorul usii lor. Numai in spatele usii din fata ta nu se auzea nici cel mai slab zgomot, oricat de atent iti ciuleai urechile. In cele din urma, convins ca usa va ramane inchisa, coborai scarile cu pasi rari si inima grea, uitandu-te in urma la fiecare cotitura, cu o ultima farama de speranta …
Lumea in care traim este fragmentata de prea multe ziduri si usi, faramitata in spatii prea marunte. Ziduri ridicate cu scopuri legitime, care protejeaza, dar si ca bariere nelegiuite, care izoleaza. Aceeasi usa tine pe unii afara si izoleaza pe altii inauntru. Cu cat cineva traieste vremuri mai bune, cu atat mai multi oameni bat la usa lui si cu atat mai ferecate ii sunt portile, menite sa tina afara pe nedoriti.
Isus n-a avut usi (cum n-a avut nici casa) si n-a fost bariera care sa-i tina pe oameni departe de El. Dar cele mai multe usi L-au tinut (si-L tin inca) pe El afara, pentru ca inimile-L tin la distanta. Mai mult, in limbajul metaforic al Evangheliei Sale, Isus S-a facut pe Sine Usa deschisa spre mantuire si Calea care duce spre cer: Singura Cale si singura Usa!… El a lansat invitatia universala, fara restrictii de nici o natura: “Veniti la Mine, toti …”. A mers inca si mai departe, punandu-se in pozitia de a bate El in mod staruitor la usa inimilor noastre, in timp ce usa Lui o tine mereu deschisa.
“O, ce bine-i cand o usa se deschide cu iubire”, suna binecunoscuta cantare. Dar in fata lui Iosif si a Mariei toate usile Betleemului au ramas inchise, in ziua cand au avut cea mai mare nevoie de gazduire. Pentru perechea cea mai obosita, pentru femeia insarcinata, gata sa nasca, pentru sotul ingrijorat, pentru Pruncul ceresc, pregatit sa descinda in lumea noastra, nu s-a gasit loc in toata cetatea. Pe cine gazduiau oare hanurile de poposire ale Betleemului si odaile de oaspeti din zilele acelea?
Un loc de gazduit se poate pregati aproape intodeauna; un pat se poate asterne oriunde, chiar pe podeaua odaii, ori in bucatarie, daca  in inima este loc de primire. Ti s-a intamplat poate si tie sa poti oferi musafirilor doar un pat improvizat pentru cateva nopti, avand mai tarziu surpriza sa ti se multumeasca mai sincer si mai calduros decat daca le-ai fi oferit dormitoare separate. Ai riscat poate pedepse aspre, ignorand oprelisti comuniste, cand ai deschis usa casei tale spre gazduire clandestina unor musafiri veniti de peste hotare, care nu erau invitatii tai, pe care nici macar nu-i cunosteai. Cand inima accepta si primeste, usa casei se deschide cu bucurie si minunea prezentei ceresti se intampla: “Sa nu dati uitarii primirea de oaspeti, caci unii prin ea au gazduit, fara sa stie, pe ingeri”.
Pentru Iosif si Maria, chiar tara natala a devenit neprimitoare. Nu poti fi popular, cand bati la usa in numele lui Mesia. S-a gasit adapost in Egipt pentru familia sfanta, dar nu in propria tara, pentru ca vatra inimilor era rece, mintile erau impotmolite in prejudecati, iar credinta adevarata mai rara decat argintul.
Astazi, in anul de gratie 2010, a venit randul pentru inima mea si a ta sa dea un raspuns. Daca Domnul insusi ar bate la poarta si L-ai vedea prin vizor, cum I-ai deschide, cum L-ai primi, cum I-ai oferi tot ce ai, intr-un spirit de lepadare de sine revarsat din abundenta peste casa ta prin simpla Lui prezenta!… Dar El bate si astazi la usi, o stim prea bine. Bate prin mana celor mai neinsemnati frati ai Lui. Oare pe cati dintre ei i-am nesocotit, i-am respins, i-am ignorat, i-am considerat nedemni de ospitalitatea noastra, de timpul nostru pretios, de eleganta interioarelor noastre, de valoarea banilor nostri?

Reflections on the Practice of Love

This was the first Christmas we celebrated without my father’s physical presence among us. His absence made the joy of celebrating Christ’s birth bittersweet. Though we all remarked on his physical absence, in spirit, we all felt that he was among us. We missed him most when the time came to say the prayer at the Christmas Eve dinner table. This had always been his task. Always eloquent in his prayers, he would enumerate our blessings and give thanks. Invariably, he would give praise for each family member and pray for togetherness. His prayers would always end with the same final words: “We pray this in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Amen.” We decided to re-publish his 2007 Christmas article, “si Totusi Iubirea…” in part because we missed seeing his words printed in the newspaper, and in part because the article’s message uncovers new meanings in the present context. I have been having mental discussions with him lately, as we would often have when he was in life. You see, my father taught me the art of discourse, because he would always start with an interrogation of premises, followed by a Socratic method of questioning that would develop the exchange patiently.

Usually, we would come to a communicative understanding or an impasse, depending on how the argumentation process would unravel. Few people appreciate this kind of engagement, because it requires a collaborative process. Like a game of chess, each argumentative move matters, and one cannot move on to the next phase until the other discussant agrees to move that way.

You will note that in Cristian Ioanide’s article, “si Totusi Iubirea…,” he argues for Christianity’s uniqueness among the religions of the world using two principal arguments. The first, he says, is that Christ did not seek to prolong the time He lived among His disciples in order to perfect their understanding of His teachings. Rather, Christ came to spread His message and to suffer a premature death. (El a venit doar sa-si lanseze mesajul Sau si ca sa sufere o moarte prematura si napraznica.) This message is found most summarily in John 3:16 and was sublimated in Christ’s resurrection in order to prove the message’s veracity. The second argument has to do with the fact that Christianity, unlike other religions, does not give a strict code of laws to follow. The divine logic embedded in the message is therefore much more mystical and ephemeral, though certainly not relativist:

“Credinta crestina este singura religie care da frau liber discernamantului. Iar discernamantul este o pictura din maretia lui Dumnezeu.Iar Dumnezeu este nesfarsita Dragoste.Iar Dragostea este mai presus de reguli, si deci, de Lege.Apostolul Pavel, acel superb matematician al crestinismului, spune: Acum, deci, raman acestea trei: credinta, nadejdea si dragostea; dar cea mai mare dintre ele este dragostea… iar dragostea nu va pieri niciodata.”

To recap the divine logic’s movement: the Christian faith encourages the exercise of free will and discernment; good discernment corresponds with an incarnation of the greatness of God; God is limitless Love; Love is higher than rules, and therefore above the Law. In the final calculation, as St. Paul states, there remain faith, hope and love, but the greatest of these is love.

Indeed, the absence of strict rules and regulations in the Christian faith has made the practice of love uniquely susceptible to interpretation. I am reminded of Fyodor Dostoevsky’s novel, The Brothers Karamazov, where Ivan undertakes a timeless philo-theological question: why would God, if He is a good God, allow the suffering of innocent children? This reality seemed particularly evil to Ivan because presumably children do not yet have the consciousness and intentionality of sinners. The most long-standing answer to this question has been as follows: for humans to truly possess free will entails that God cannot dictate or fully determine our actions. If this were the case, we would simply be automatons. Rather, we must choose to do good in the world and choose the practice of His commandments to love one another and to love God above all else. So, to answer Ivan in The Brothers Karamazov, it is not so much that God allows the suffering of innocent children but that humans choose evil over the practice of love.

In abstraction, discerning the practice of love over evil appears to be relatively simple and straightforward. Placed in specific contexts, however, a number of complications may be raised. Take for example the current economic crisis prevalent throughout the world and in the United States. Clearly there are those who know that their actions have caused widespread suffering for others. Homelessness, displacement, the inability to sustain one’s family due to joblessness, hunger—these are not small evils to structurally instantiate at a political-economic level because of the exorbitant greed of a few. (Those who think that the culprits are not so clearly demarcated should read about the political corruption cases, pyramid schemes, people walking away with millions while claiming innocence, and a government that continues to provide bailouts without strict regulations to the banks and industries that got us here in the first place.) What does love look like vis-à-vis these purveyors of suffering? Should we forgive them? Should we recognize our own culpability in these structures? Should we accept the inevitability of greed’s consequences in the world and claim that nothing is new under the sun? Or would the practice of love actually require collective action whose aim is to establish conditions that are conducive to the proliferation of love, faith and hope?

My point is that a desperate socio-economic context creates deep paradoxes in the practice and instantiation of love. Put differently, some contexts encourage the practice of love while others perpetuate divisiveness, radical stratification and denigration. What, then, is our duty in the present moment? Is it primarily to our own families, to their well-being? Or, would the practice of love that Christ commands direct us to focus on saving the entire community? What if saving the community entails that our own family fares worse in some respects? To take another difficult socio-economic context, how might one instantiate the practice of love in the context of the present Israel-Palestinian war? What does the practice of love look like when radically unequal power relations structure a socio-political setting?

Often, people delimit the practical application of their love to a finite community. That community is defined in multiple ways: it might be as small as one’s immediate family or it might extend globally and transnationally. This raises another question: how should we define community? Do we define it as the Christian community? Do we define it locally? Do we define it as a group of people bound by a particular ideology and shared values?

In fact, Christ placed no limitation on the notion of community, insofar as He demanded that the practice of love be extended even toward one’s enemies. The elevation of Love above the Law eradicated the strict boundaries of community in place at the time of His coming. And as Cristian Ioanide mentions in his article, the apostles modeled the practice of love in a community as follows: “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.” (Acts 2:42-47)

It is in times of difficulty, strife, scarcity and radical divisiveness that Christ calls upon us to practice love toward one another the most. It is in every day and in every act that He asks us to surpass our human tendencies and to choose the instantiation of love.

What is Christmas?

Christmas is my favorite holiday.  Now, you’re probably be asking yourself why did I choose Christmas as my favorite and not Easter, The Resurrection…Well, to be quite honest with you, I love Easter just as much for we remember the death of the greatest King bearing our sins and celebrate His victorious and glorious Resurrection.

Not only did our great King rose from the death, but it was that through his death and His precious shed blood that our sins have been washed away and He so graciously gave us His salvation…”For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)”.  What an amazing remembrance we have to know that our sins have been washed away through his death and received salvation and eternal life instead.  Who does that?  And, the chorus to this song came to mind…”How many kings step down from their thrones?  How many lords have abandoned their homes?  How many greats have become the least for me?  And how many gods have poured out their hearts to romance a world that is torn all apart?  How many fathers gave up their sons to die for you and me only to reward us with life instead?” No other King has ever done that for me!!!  So, that’s way I love Christmas for without the magnificent celebration and the birth of the greatest King on earth as in heavens, there will not have been death and a resurrection…GIVING…for it was foretold long ago: “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given and the government will be on his shoulders.  And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6)“ and only because, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)”.

I will not be able to ever give back as much as God gave for me, but all I can do is give Him my whole heart and life.  By letting God be my Wonderful Counselor (and not someone I may visit an hour or two in exchange for money), by trusting in God’s faithfulness for only He is the Everlasting Father and by always being grateful and thankful when down in the valleys as well as when high on the mountain and not only for the material blessings (which again He gives to us), but for the ultimate gift of salvation and eternal life coming down from the Father of Lights…”Every good and perfect gift is from above coming down from the Father of heavenly lights. (James 1:17)”.

You see, Christmas is the gift itself and I’m not talking about the wonderful gifts we give and receive from one another.  Or is Christmas all about the gifts?  Is it all about the beautiful lighting displays?  Is it all about the tall and beautifully decorated Christmas tree?  Surely not, even as much as I love giving and receiving gifts, admiring the beautiful lighting displays and decorating my Christmas tree while singing along the beautiful Christmas songs, but, to me all this does is pre-setting our lives, hearts, minds and souls for the joyful celebration, the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ!

For, He is Peace!  He is Joy!  He is Love!  He is every good gift from God’s heart to ours for only Jesus is the Gift that perfectly fits every heart and it is with His love that all celebration starts.  We rejoice in Him as we remember His birth and thank God for sending His only Son to earth.  His life led from a manger to a cross on a hill where He faithfully followed His Father’s perfect will.  He freely laid down everything so that we could live and there is no greater treasure anyone could give.  Like a scarlet ribbon His love wrapped around the cross and He offered it to us all at the greatest cost.  So each time that we give we remember what He’s done and honor the perfect Gift – God’s one and only Son.  Together, let’s celebrate and share Jesus, the perfect gift in a way that brings “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. (Luke 2:14)”.

In a classy, upscale environment in BH at the Celebrity Vault gallery, where art was the liaison and the promoter of Help a Life Foundation, a supportive crowd generously donated for a more than complex project of housing and educating orphan girls in Ethiopia. 100% of the proceeds went for bettering the life of the unfortunate ones, who need and rely on this one-in-a-lifetime opportunity to change their life around.

Among the honorees were Ambassador Taye Selassie; actor Said Faraj, Editor-in-chief and founder of Beverly Hills Times Magazine – Suzanne Takowsky; Editor-in-chief and founders of Bel-Air Magazine – Melanie and Rick Amor; humanitarian and Celebrity Society Magazine’s spokesperson – Tracy Saunders, Curtis Williams, Editor-in-chief of Melrose Heights Magazine, Giacomino Drago from Il Pastaio, Mauro from Mauro’s Cafe at Fred Segal’s, Aura Imbarus, author of the Pulitzer Prize nominated memoir “Out of the Transylvania Night,”  and many more spent the evening entertained by a touch of Africa.

The Ethiopian Dance Troupe along with the West African Drummers brought Africa to
Beverly Hills.  The pulsating drum beats had a crowd of Beverly Hillers trying to get into a packed Celebrity Vault gallery.  KCRW DJ Daylight and Ethiopian DJ Son Zoo kept the theme of Africa going until midnight as the beautiful Help a Life volunteers called “Blue Angels” wearing sequined transparent tops mingled with the crowd.

With the help of our sponsors from Mastro’s Steakhouse and Cristophe Salon in Beverly Hills to the Mondrain Hotel Agua Spa, this red carpet holiday soiree was made possible, and the life of these orphans’ girls will be tailored in better and brighter shades forever.

“Portrete din cioburi” de Ligia Seman – un roman complex despre Dumnezeu si existenta

In “Portrete din cioburi” Ligia Seman reia teme din cartile sale precedente si compune un roman arborescent, in doua volume. Cartea sa este o analiza a esecului si triumfului in dragoste, o poveste despre convertirea la Dumnezeu, o istorie de familie, dar si fresca unei lumi, a societatii romanesti de dinainte si dupa momentul Decembrie 1989. In constructia sa, romanul “Portrete din cioburi” imbina componente de roman crestin, roman de dragoste, de moravuri, politic, etc. Romanul poate fi privit si drept unul intelectual.

Ligia Seman si lumea din romanele sale

Ligia Seman este o prozatoare romana crestina de valoare. Ligia Seman debuteaza  in anul 1995 cu romanul “Funiile dragostei”, urmat de “Handicapul constiintei” (1999), “Tragedie si triumf” (2004) si  “ Domnind peste imprejurarile vietii” (2006) – ultima, un volum de eseuri cu adresabilitate feminina, imbinate cu psihoterapie, propunand solutii biblice. Primele doua carti mentionate prezinta pe langa experienta crestina a personajelor, si o poveste de iubire bine conturata, ce aduce un plus de umanitate si da o nota romantica naratiunii.

„Dincolo de experienta umana limitata este divinitatea”, afirma candva, scriitoarea. Acest adevar este exploatat si in „Portrete din cioburi”. Aici, Ligia Seman ne demonstreaza cu talent ca in labirintul amenintator si plin de tentatii inselatoare al lumii, a ramane de partea binelui, adevarului si puritatii reprezinta un act plin de eroism, un test al credintei si loialitatii fata de Dumnezeu. Atat la varsta adolescentei cat si a maturitatii, spiritul de compromis ne incearca continuu, oferindu-ne ocazii de realizare materiala, dar sacrificand idealurile inalte ale curatiei de suflet, de caracter.

O istorie de viata

Una din temele romanului  “Portrete din cioburi” ar putea fi atingerea fericirii prin iubire. Pe parcursul actiunii, Gabriel, fiul lui Emil, ajunge sa repete istoria de viata a tatalui sau. Povestea se repeta cu cele doua iubiri ale sale, Stela si Isa. Autoarea pune foarte mult accent pe aceste idile, incadrandu-le perfect in conjuncturi socio-politice specifice. Experienta traita de Gabriel cu Stela si Isa ne arata latura realista a eroului, insa pe cea si sentimentala. Aceste relatii ii determina lui Gabriel, destinul. Iata cum descrie autoarea lupta interioara a lui Gabriel, alaturi de Isa. „Cand opiul trupului nu mai actiona, in tot mai multe seri, in urma unei betii a carnii, Gabriel, obosit si nervos, rasufland langa ea in intunericul dormitorului – ii scapa printre degete. Trupul ii era lungit langa ea, dar sufletul lui se indeparta de ea, se intorcea mereu spre obsesia lui fixa, spre familia ce o parasise. Statea nemiscat si ea la inceput credea ca doarme, dar apoi a inteles ca ochii lui erau deschisi si realiza la ce se gandeste el. Era  chinuitor gandul ca poate nu va mai putea face nimic sa-l pastreze.”

In cautarea sensului propriei existente

Personajele principale, Emil si Gabriel, tata si fiu, vor afla in cele din urma, prin intermediul experientelor traite, sensul propriei existente, dar si sensul existentei lui Dumnezeu. Din cauza acestor experiente, inclusiv cele amoroase, cei doi isi vor schimba, pe masura ce trece timpul, conceptia despre viata, familie si Divinitate.

Emil si Gabriel sunt personaje complexe si ocupa pozitii inalte in societate. Cei doi sunt capabili de trairi interioare profunde, devastatoare. Gabriel este tipul omului filosof, comtemplativ, un intelectual. “Aluziile lui Gorica la faptul ca Gabriel e natural inzestrat pentru a urca in varful piramidei, urmand pilda tatalui sau, care in timpul studentiei fusese secretar al Uniunii Tineretului Comunist, mult timp iscara in sufletul baiatului sentimente si ganduri contradictorii.”

Credinta in Dumnezeu, singura forta pentru supravietuire

Gabriel, tipul de intelectual care incearca sa se autodepaseasca, traieste intr-o realitate cruda.  “Dorinta uriasa din interiorul lui de a-si depasi propria conditie, de a se ridica deasupra oamenilor obisnuiti, se lupta cu aversiunea fata de armele care ii erau oferite – fuziunea cu teoriile materialismului dialectic. Nu putea accepta aceasta filosofie in primul rand pentru ca ea reprezenta fundatia pe care se cladise viata tatalui sau. Esecul acestei vieti ii adusese atata suferinta si frustrare, incat se ferea de orice ar putea prevesti o istorie asemanatoare. In al doilea rand, politica bazata pe aceasta filosofie excludea credinta in Dumnezeu, despre care el nu stia prea multe, dar care fusese totusi singura forta ce o ajutase pe mama lui sa supravietuiasca si sa vada un sens in tot ce indurase.”

Moravurile unei societati

Romanul Ligiei Seman  “Portrete din cioburi” poate fi considerat si un roman politic. In paginile cartii, autoarea evoca societatea socialista vazuta prin ochii unor intelectuali, tata si fiu, Emil si Gabriel. Autoarea prezinta moravurile acestei societati, falsitatea regimului politic. Insa niciodata nu s-a putut inventa o cale sigura de adormire a constiintei atunci cand ai avut ocazia sa cunosti chemarea Cuvantului divin. Nu exista nici liniste si nici odihna pentru cei care aleg sa lase deoparte frumusetea inocentei de copil al lui Dumnezeu pentru placerile si realizarile de o clipa ale compromisului si pacatului. Nimic nu se compara cu o constiinta curata fata de sine si fata de ceea ce este bine si drept, fiindca indiferent cat de mult suntem mintiti de societatea in mijlocul careia traim, totusi Dumnezeu exista si noi am fost creati pentru El.

„O stea vesnica pe firmamentul Universului”

Tema iubirii de Dumnezeu este omniprezenta in carte, in roman, ea inglobandu-le pe cele amintite mai sus. Iubirea, dragostea de Dumnezeu este singurul lucru care il tine in viata pe Gabriel. Ea a fost singura care i-a mentinut aprinsa flacara vietii. El nu a incetat niciodata sa creada in Dumnezeu, indiferent de circumstante si asta l-a definit ca om. Chiar dragostea sa pentru sotie se circumscrie si se realizeaza ca urmare a dragostei pentru Creator. „Dragostea profunda dintre un barbat si o femeie, cu siguranta sunt simbolul  Celei mai mari opere de Iubire si Rascumparare, iar reflectarea acestei iubiri in vietile celor din jur o stea vesnica pe firmamentul Universului, deosebita de orice alta stea a lumii acesteia.”

Ligia Seman, o buna observatoare a realitatii

In roman, dialogul are un rol foarte bine determinat si foarte important. Autoarea se face usor inteleasa si exprima totul in fraze simple, pe un ton familiar. La fel ca si in celelalte romane, si in “Portrete din cioburi” stilul Ligiei Seman este clar si concis. Un alt lucru care o apropie pe autoare de cititorii sai este tonul degajat pe care acesta il foloseste. Limbajul utilizat demonstreaza ca Ligia Seman este o buna observatoare a realitatii.

Concluzia care se desprinde din romanul “Portrete din cioburi” este ca nici negura comunismului, nici tentatiile bunurilor lumesti nu pot sa stinga dorinta dupa Dumnezeu ce ia nastere atunci cand ajungi sa cunosti Cuvantul Sau. Pretul compromisului este amar si plin de suferinta, o carare ce te arunca in abisul disperarii fara intoarcere. Totusi, farmecul iubirii divine se revarsa pe drumul celui ce ajunge sa invinga, chiar si in urma multor greseli, amagirile unei lumi lipsite de repere morale autentice.

O CARTE PENTRU VREMURI VIITOARE: „EDUCATIA PERMANENTA. PARADIGMA FILOSOFICA SI PEDAGOGICA”, de FLORINEL AGAFITEI

Avem in fata o carte care, deocamdata, in climatul actual, de ignoranta educationala si culturala generalizata si de mizerie morala, sociala si fizica contaminanta, pare a veni dintr-un viitor teribil de indepartat. Este vorba de onesta, constiincioasa si cutezatoarea (din punct de vedere intelectual) carte a sanscritologului, omului de cultura, romancierului si jurnalistului focsanean, FLORINEL AGAFITEI(1): EDUCATIA PERMANENTA. PARADIGMA FILOSOFICA SI PEDAGOGICA.

Autorul este perfect constient de valoarea cartii sale (dar si de precaritatea receptarii ei, intr-un climat bruiat cumplit de factorul politico-demagogic, in care Legea Educatiei a devenit subiect de ping-pong propagandistico-partinic, si vocile autorizate, in domeniu, n-au nici cea mai mica sansa a se face auzite!): „Noutatea demersului e legata, pe de o parte, de perceperea fenomenului educational prin prisma paradigmei filosofice, din cele mai vechi timpuri si pana in contemporaneitate, iar pe de alta parte, de intelegerea necesitatii globalizarii educatiei permanente in Romania, ca modalitate de metamorfozare reala a mentalitatii intregii natiuni, fapt ce s-ar putea repercuta pozitiv asupra dezvoltarii in ansamblul ei, la uin moment dat” (cf. Cuvant inainte, p. 9).

Dupa opinia noastra, tocmai „globalizarea” aceasta desucheata si perversa (de la care autorul pare a trage reale nadejdi…), globalizare cu finalitate strict economico-financiara, este cauza pentru care atat educatia, cat si insasi cartea dlui Florinel Agafitei sunt…victime sigure si tragice!

Lucrarea urmareste, in paralel, evolutia gandirii filosofice si a atitudinilor pedagogice, tradand, astfel, un interes ascuns, pentru evidentierea legaturii dintre atmosfera de gandire a unei epoci si rezultatele aplicate, in mediul ontologic uman – in chip de „actiune pedagogica”. Filosofia, deci, in viziunea dlui Florinel Agafitei, nu  trebuie sa fie „joc steril”, ci premiza  aplicarii principiilor intr-o conformatie socio-spirituala, specifica fiecarei epoci de evolutie a Duhului pe Terra. Si, totusi, in cele din urma, rezulta, subteran (fara voia autorului!), ca exista legaturi indisolubile si indiscutabile, intre epocile de evolutie a Duhului „educabil” al umanitatii terestre: pare ca un plan major (propus, oferit initial, de…”cineva”!), transcendent, este privit, in implinirea lui…sinusoidala! Nu exista pedagog ori filosof modern sau chiar contemporan, care sa nu trebuiasca a prelua (fie si…negator!) principii ale…antichitatii educational-filosofice!

Chiar de la inceput, din Introducere, autorul defineste conceptul de „educatie permanenta” (spre a nu fi confundat cu  cel de „invatare continua!), din punctul sau de vedere, care, de data aceasta, coincide cu al nostru si cu logica si bunul-simt comun: „Din punctul nostru de vedere, educatia permanenta, pentru a putea izbandi, ca si concept pus in aplicare, trebuie sa se bucure de un cadru legal si financiar corespunzator, menit a impune in planul realitatii concrete, ceea ce se afla in spatiul ideatic (…). Educatia – continuata dupa perfectionarea scolii – nu trebuie confundata cu perfectionarea profesionala, care este doar o latura a acesteia,  realizata prin reciclare, adeseori (…) Simpla reciclare, din cinci in cinci ani, intocmita adeseori de forma si inteleasa ca o alta obligatie la locul de munca,  nu va servi prea mult cadrului didactic, mai cu seama daca stie ca pana si aceasta presupune o alta forma de control a standardului profesional, pe linie ierarhica etc”. Si, firesc, dl Florinel Agafitei da exemplul Japoniei, in care tocmai constiinta necesitatii VITALE a educatiei permanente a produs iesirea din marasmul „nenorocirilor celui de-al doilea razboi mondial” si a produs o explozie extraordinara, atat in plan economic, cat si al demnitatii spirituale (duhul samurailor  n-a apus!), care  impun Japonia, pe plan mondial, ca pe o forta nu doar redutabila, ci si misterioasa, de neinvins – TOCMAI PENTRU CA ESTE CONVINSA, PANA IN ULTIMA FIBRA A FIINTEI EI NATIONALE (…iar nu neaparat…”globaliste”…!),  DE CEEA CE FACE: EDUCATIA PERMANENTA A UNUI POPOR INTREG!

Si urmeaza o demonstratie credibila, in patru capitole, despre cum conceptul si realitatea „fiabila” a educatiei permanente au „migrat”, dinspre Orientul Antic (India Vedelor, China lui Confucius, Japonia  lui Nichiren si a manualului de educatie Teikin-orai/Manualul invatamantului de familie) catre …Europa.

Evident, nu este o surpriza, pentru noi, faptul ca sanscritologul harnic si inversunat, care este dl Florinel Agafitei, considera „orientalismul”  (in Capitolul I) la modul exclusivist, in legatura cu educatia: „Va fi fost Zarathustra – ca si Zalmoxis – aproape contemporan  cu Buddha, printre alti mari educatori ai omenirii, dar nici unul, nici celalalt n-au reusit cu invataturile lor sa depaseasca mileniile, asa cum a putut s-o faca Buddha”. Noi, insa, suntem absolut convinsi ca superioritatea morala a iranienilor/persilor, manifestata in antichitate, ca si in zilele noastre, se trage nu dintr-o neputinta, ci dintr-o biruinta (secreta, poate…!) a sistemului de educatie si de revelatie zarathustric. La fel, nu putem sa ne lasam deloc convinti ca isihasmul, practicat, egal, la Muntele Athos si in Rusia, ca si in monahismul romanesc de frunte, nu este cel putin egalul invataturii buddhiste. In definitiv,  noi credem ca, in cartea de fata, se uita, premeditat, ca aveam de-a face cu un continent…continuu, EURASIA (zalmoxienii, se stie, credeau in metempsihoza, iar Ion Creanga, dupa opinia lui Vasile Lovinescu(2), era un initiat zalmoxian al Kogaionului…), iar „ruptura” de azi este una voita/dorita, de forte politice mai mult sau mai putin „oculte” (ocultate de ignoranta noastra!), ale planetei Terra… A se vedea, spre exemplu (dar exemple pot fi date si din China, si din India etc., a se vedea asemanarea frapanta intre cuvintele sanscritei si cele…romanesti/trace!) civilizatia ainu, din Insula Hokkaido, pe care yayo-ii au neglijat-o/ignorat-o (si urmasii lor nu se dezmint!) CU PREMEDITARE!!! Istoria se falsifica permanent, de sute si, poate, chiar mii de ani, cu o rea-credinta „harnica” si cu o incapatanare si „eruditie”…demne de o cauza mai buna…

„Pana nu demult, nu a interesat pe nimeni originea acestor barbosi blonzi, ainu. Nu s-au facut cercetari cromozomiale  PCR, pentru ca nimeni nu a fost interesat sa cheltuiasca suma de 5-10.000 de dolari pentru a afla adevarul, iar statul japonez de azi prefera sa-i ignore chiar, si asta spre binele istoriei lor!!! Antropologul american Carleton Coon ii considera pe caucazienii sositi in urma cu 5.000 de ani ca avand aceeasi origine cu cei care au ocupat insulele Kurile si Aleutine (devenind nici mai mult, nici mai putin decat primii descoperitori ai Americii), bazinul fluviului Amur si Manciuria. Altii ii considera pe acesti ainu (carpato-dunareni, cum le spun eu) ca fiind cei care au migrat peste toata Asia, caucazienii care au sosit in Mongolia de azi si trecand peste stramtoarea Behring se raspandesc pe teritoriul celor doua Americi, teorie sustinuta de descoperirea in 1958, pe coasta Ecuadorului, a unor vase ceramice asemanatoare cu cele ainu. De ce nu, carpato-dunarenii, arienii, pelasgii, ainu ori cum vreti sa-i numiti pe acestia ai nostri, sa nu fie aceiasi sugerati de Legenda Omului Alb, Barbosul blond care a sosit in Mexic (n.n.: acel celebru Quetzalcoatl – Zeul Alb al Luminii si al Invataturilor Benefice si Secrete(3)! – care a plecat, dupa initierea, poate chiar INTEMEIEREA! amerindienilor, spre RASARIT!!!) si Peru cam in aceeasi perioada, cu 5.000 de ani in urma. Aparent, si carpato-dunarenii ainu, atunci cand au invadat Japonia, au intalnit o populatie cunoscuta drept Cultura Jomon, yayoi-ii veniti de prin Coreea in jurul anului 300 d.H., ainu au fost imprastiati, decimati sau, mai corect spus, asimilati, japonezii aducandu-si cu mare dificultate aminte despre «acei oameni albi», pe care i-au gasit pe insulele ocupate acum de ei. Aproximativ 14.000 de ainu mai traiesc si in ziua de azi in mici satucuri de pe coastele insulei Hokkaido, dar interesul stiintific, in ceea ce priveste originea acestora –  nu exista! –  si se pare ca nu pasioneaza pe nimeni. (…) Japonezii au fost si au ramas si azi un popor foarte rasist, inchistati in castele lor sociale.(…)

Azi, ainu traiesc izolati in satucurile lor, zbatandu-se sa-si pastreze identitatea, limba, dupa cum ne spune acelasi Patrick Smith. Soarta lor ne aminteste de aceea a nativilor americani, care se pierd treptat, “natural”,  prin rezervatiile din Statele Unite. Japonezii obisnuiti ii considera pe oamenii ainu nimic altceva decat un parc de atractii. Ce-i uimeste cel mai mult pe acestia sunt caracteristicile fizice deosebite de ei: figura distinsa si cizelata, unii din ei avand chiar ochii albastri. Incepand din secolul XIX d.H., oamenii ainu au adoptat vestimentatia traditionala japoneza. Limba lor nu a fost studiata, fiind considerata de „cercetatorii” japonezi : “de neclasificat”!

(…)Daca astazi masina de PCR costa cateva mii de dolari si are marimea unui cuptor cu microunde, se preconizeaza ca in viitorul apropiat marimea unui asemenea aparat sa nu o depaseasca pe cea a unui “palmtop computer” (computer ce poate fi tinut in palma). Acest lucru ar permite transportarea sa in locurile de cercetare, informatiile culese putand fi apoi analizate cu ajutorul computerelor specializate ce compara datele introduce cu mii de alte amprente genetice mitocondriale specifice diferitelor rase si civilizatii. Va spun toate acestea pentru a va intredeschide o usa spre viitorul apropiat al arheologiei moderne. Asa ca, Oamenilor ainu carpato-dunareni, mai aveti de asteptat. Sa revenim, cu folos, la cartea dlui Florinel Agafitei.

Se trece la Grecia Antica: Socrate (cu celebra sa „mosire”-maieutica a Duhului uman), Platon, Aristotel – care, in viziunea (indreptatita!  – dar, in actualele conditii spirituale, total degradate, ale Terrei – aparent utopica…) a autorului, ar trebui sa devina contemporanii nostri, din punct de vedere intelectual: „Socrate era incredintat ca omul este imaginea pamanteana a unui model exemplar ce facea parte dintr-o prestabilita ordine metafizica, de unde si increderea nelimitata in posibilitatile acestuia de a se cunoaste profund pe sine si, astfel, a se putea metamorfoza in spiritul tolerantei, lebertatii, cugetarii, iertarii aproapelui. Socrate pune un accent deosebit pe virtute si predarea acesteia”.

Nu gasim acoperirea in realitate a afirmatiei de la pagina 31: „Platon (…) a avut sansa ca sa invete la picioarele maestrului Socrate, pe care, fara indoiala, l-a si intrecut in maretia cugetarii”. Nimeni nu poate proba ca Platon l-ar fi „intrecut in maretia cugetarii” sau nu pe Socrate, atata vreme cat Socrate, ca si Hristos, a practicat invatamantul/invatarea prin oralitate, N-A LASAT SCRIS NIMIC! Si n-a avut decat un… „evanghelist”, pe Platon… Socrate e un fel de…”creatie ideatica” a „evanghelistului” Platon (cum, poate, intr-un alt sens al conceptului de „creatie ideatica”, si Hristos!). De aceea, sunt si azi unii care chiar ii contesta, lui Socrate, existenta reala!

De asemenea, se trece cu vederea ca, prin Aristotel, se produce fenomenul de „pietrificare”, de uitare a tainelor inefabile ale Duhului (ESTE UITAT MITUL!) – si, deci, inceputul  „caderii” in materialism.

Urmeaza aventura prin Evul Mediu (Capitolul al II-lea), cu indeobste, dubla tintire a privirii – spre „Viata – repere”, si spre „Opera pedagogica si filosofica”: Albertus Magnus (la care se face doar o privire rapida asupra vietii…), Toma d’Aquino („pedagogul crestin”: „In ecuatia Dumnezeu-magistru-discipol poate interveni, ca intermediar, adeseori, INGERUL, capabil, el insusi, de a transmite anumite cunostinte invatatorului” – cf. Toma d’Aquino – pedagogul crestin, p. 49), Erasmus din Rotterdam (vazut/investigat ca  filosof si ca pedagog: „Omul nu se naste, ci devine, iar devenirea lui se realizeaza doar prin educatie” – cf. Erasmus – pedagogul, p. 53).

Urmeaza, in Capitolul al III-lea, Perioada moderna, care incepe cu autorul ceh al conceptului de Pansofie, dezvoltat explicit in Didactica Magna – Jan Amos Comenius (1592-1670), membru al sectei Fratii Moravi („e necesara educarea omului in spiritul armoniei universale, intelegerii faptului extraordinar ca el insusi face parte dintr-un mare intreg, unde e necesar sa seintegreze respectand niste legi organice dinainte date, aprioric funcsionale” – cf. Pansofia – conceptia filosofica asupra pedagogiei, p. 59, sau: „arta universala de a invata pe toti, totul – se poate realiza daca se vor infiinta scoli in toate asezarile rurale si urbane” – cf. Idem, p. 62), se continua cu John Locke (1632-1704: „el cerceteaza, permanent, problema raportului intelect-simturi” – cf. John Locke – paradigma filosofica, p. 65 – si: „Ideea pedagogica pricipala a lui Locke pare sa porneasca de la Platon, care sustinea ca, daca un lucru este util, atunci este si frumos (…) Omul este, totusi,  o fiinta educabila” – cf. John Locke – pedagogul, p. 67) si Immanuel Kant (1724-1804), cel care „aborda, in actul transmiterii cunostintelor, metoda socratica, cu precizarea ca interlocutorul caruia i se adresa nu era alta persoana, ci el insusi (…) Disciplina, ca sa dea roade, trebuie sa fie dublata de instructie (…) altfel,,, se produce aparitia insilor dezorganizati, a spiritelor brute” (cf. Kant si Spiritul socratic, p. 72), cu Jean-Jacques Rousseau (1712-1778), cel mai mare pedagog iluminist, autorul revolutionarului tratat de educatie – Emil sau despre educatie – dar care… si-a dat toti copiii (rezultati din legatura cu o femeie de conditie sociala joasa) la orfelinat! – si ar fi trebuit sa se incheie, oarecum apoteotic, cu Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi (1746-1827, cel care afirma, in lucrarea Cum isi invata Getruda copiii: „In limbaj se gasesc, de fapt, adunate toate rezultatele progreselor omenesti si, pentru a ne incredinta despre aceasta, ne vom lua dupa urmele acestor progrese, ajutandu-ne de psihologie” – cf. Pestalozzi si pedagogia copilului, p. 81)  si cu Herbert Spencer (1820-1903) – dar suntem surprinsi sa vedem finalul „epocii moderne” sub semnul unor mai modesti filosofi si pedagogi, precum Alfred Binet (1857-1911) si Emile Durkheim (1858-1917) – acesta din urma, insa, avand macar meritul intemeierii sociologiei… Criteriul cronologic nu echivaleaza, din pacate, in ce priveste stralucirea rezultatelor, cu criteriul evolutionist; e greu de spus unde sta „hiba”: omenirea „europeana” nu evolueaza suficient de repede (nu e suficient conectata la ritmul temporal), sau timpul „modern” nu este decat  expresia, din ce in ce mai joasa, a epocii Kali-Yuga?!

Poate ca raspunsul s-ar vrea sugerat in Capitolul al IV-lea – care:

1- incepe cu Eduard Spranger (1882-1963, cel ce afirma, ferm, „educatia prin cultura”: „Spranger este adeptul sustinerii ideii existentei mostenirii genetice, care functioneaza de la caz la caz; el afirma ca un artist poate fi educat in interiorul unei instituitii si poate fi instruit in functie de domeniul abordat (…) aratandu-i-se care sunt trasaturile estetice dupa care trebuie sa se coordoneze in conceperea operei; acestea nu ar fi posibile daca cel care pretinde sa ajunga artist nu se naste cu o structura estetica menita a-l sprijini in idealul devenirii personale” – cf. p. 101, ultima afirmatie a lui Spranger fiind, in esenta, un truism!),

2-continua cu Maria Montessori (1870-1952), o „liberalista” destul de ilogica, dar, probabil, tocmai de aceea, pe placul „mondialistilor” contemporani, distrugatori de educatie REALA!!!  („Montessori pune accentul pe necesitatea inducerii ideii de independenta a copilului, in tot ce realizeaza acesta” – cf. p. 105, afirmatie care aminteste de aberatiile, ingurgitate de copii, prin citirea romanului Robinson Crusoe, al lui Daniel Defoe, unde Robinson Crusoe poate fi independent de civilizatia europeana, cat poate fi si un pasager urcat intr-un tren supraaglomerat! – …dar cum sa cultivi mai bine egoismul si iresponsabilitatea, decat prin iluzia…”independentei” copilului, de parca acesta s-ar putea educa dupa…”masini”!) –

3-…si se sfarseste cu atipicul pedagog (potrivit, prin metodele si viziunea sa „filosofica”, doar realitatilor postrevolutionare din Rusia sovietizata, a anilor ’20…!) Anton Semionovici Makarenko (1888-1939).

…Probabil (si autorul imi confirma aceasta ratiune de structurare semantica a textului) ca Mariei Montessori ii este conferita importanta din text, tocmai pentru a se reliefa antiteza dintre „liberalismul educational” si „metodele constrangatoare” ale lui Makarenko…

…De ce, oare (ne intrebam noi), daca tot se patrunde adanc in secolul al XX-lea, se omite revolutia efectiva (cu orizonturi extrem de interesante!), in viziunea asupra Duhului Educabil, pe care o aduce „Scoala/Pedagogia WALDORF” (prin conceptul de „copil-samanta”!), experiment initiat de Rudolf Steiner – si nu total necunoscut in Romania postdecembrista, ba chiar cu rezultate notabile (spre exemplu, la Turda sau Iasi)(4)?!

…Lucrarea dlui Florinel Agafitei este nu doar meritorie, ci si o temerara opera de pionierat. Admirabila, din multe puncte de vedere (prin puterea de sinteza, dar si prin accentuatul spirit critic!). Este o „ademenire” a omului terestru, ca fiinta constient-responsabila (speram, din toata inima!), recapitulativa, resintetizatoare si evolutiva (chiar daca…exasperant de sinusoidal!), catre niste zone deosebit de sensibile, de o importanta capitala, pentru continuarea (sau extinctia!) vietii umane, pe planeta Terra.

Cum am spus de la inceput: o lucrare/carte pentru „vremuri viitoare”… – dar nu numai in sensul ca (banuim noi) nu va fi citita (cu real interes) de prea multi contemporani, ci si in sensul ca, daca problemele ridicate in aceasta carte nu vor fi luate in seama, cat de degraba, si dezbatute serios (de cat mai multi si competenti-responsabili locuitori terestri!) si nu vor avea parte de  solutionari ferme si extrem de profesioniste, viitorul Terrei Umane este intr-un pericol de moarte!!!

Evident, ea/lucrarea autorului-pionier va trebui sa continue, sa se completeze si aprofundeze, prin paginile unor carti/lucrari viitoare.

AVORTURI CU FORTA IN CHINA, IN LUNA A OPTA DE SARCINA

Politica unui singur copil din China are drept consecinta un numar de 13 milioane de avorturi anual, majoritatea fiind ordonate de catre oficialii centrelor de planificare familiala.
Potrivit blogului Al Jazeera, parintii implicati in aceasta “sarcina ilegala”, care a condus de asemenea la un avort ilegal, in luna a opta de sarcina, sunt socati de rapiditatea cu care povestea lor a fost propagata pe internet.

Se pare ca Luo Yan Qua si Xiao Ai Ying nu au stiut ca povestea lor a ajuns pe internet, fiind marcati de evenimentele recente. Se ia in considerare faptul ca un membru anonim, care stia despre avortul ilegal, pe care mama a fost fortata sa-l faca, a lansat vestea pe un site din China, similar Twitter. Raspandirea vestii de catre o sursa guvernamentala este o varianta posibila, deoarece, conform Public Vigil, avorturile fortate au loc, mai ales, in zonele rurale ori periferice ale Chinei, dar acest caz a fost semnalat intr-unul dintre orasele moderne ale tarii, lucru care nu este prea tolerat de catre Guvernul central.

Odata ce sarcina sa a fost detectata, Xiao Ai Ying, care mai are o fetita de 10 ani, a fost batuta si scoasa violent afara din casa de catre autoritatile de planificare familiala, insotite de catre ofiteri de politie. Potrivit digitaljournal, tatal copilului si sotul mamei a declarat ca un politist chiar a lovit-o in burta, incercand sa-i provoace un avort spontan. Apoi femeia a fost transportata la un spital din centrul orasului Xiamen, unde copilul care urma sa se nasca peste doar o luna, a fost ucis cu o injectie letala, in timp ce inca se mai afla in corpul mamei.

The Final Judgment, from Myth to Reality!

Introduction

My name is Lia Rusu and I was born in 1947 in Oradea, Romania. I am a professional artist and former visual arts instructor at the College of Fine Arts, University of Oradea. The following testimony describes an unusual experience that I had in the summer of 1993 regarding the Final Judgment mentioned in the Bible.

The Beginning of the Experience

I became a Christian around the age of 24. Early in my faith, while reading the Bible, I became very impressed by the passages that mentioned that we will be held accountable for how we live our lives. Specifically, after death, each individual will come face to face with God in order to be judged according to all of their deeds and actions while living on Earth.
I began wondering, how was it possible for God to know even the most insignificant details of our lives on Earth? And how could God record everything? Even though I was eager to know and learn more about this subject, I knew it would be difficult to understand it thoroughly, yet I was equally curious to find out how the final judgment from the Bible would take place.

The Angel’s Visit in My Room

I did not understand all these matters at that time, but eventually I stopped being preoccupied by this particular subject. Time had passed, and after many years, at a time when I was no longer thinking about it, I received a visit. During the summer of 1993, in one of the early mornings between 4 AM and 5 AM, I was suddenly awakened. I sensed that somebody had entered into my room, and when I looked closely at that person, I instantly understood that it was an angel. His presence did not make me feel uncomfortable, nor did it create a state of fear in me. The angel approached my bed and talked to me in a soft and resolute manner:
Lia, you have wished to see what the final judgment would be like and I have been sent to take you to see it, but for this to happen you must first die.
When the angel told me that I would have to die in order to be able to see what the final judgment would be like, I worriedly replied that I did not want to die because I had small children that needed me. Then the angel replied,
Just believe, because with God all things are possible.
Journalist – So, did you see someone enter your room?
Lia – Yes, I did see an angel.
Journalist – What did this angel look like? Could you describe the angel in more detail?
Lia – Certainly. The angel looked like a person, but he was taller than a human. He was very luminous and his body was entirely dressed in a coat of light. Very simply put, in his presence I felt immensely confident and totally safe.  That is why I was not afraid at all when I saw him in my room.
Journalist – What was the apparent age of that angel?
Lia – The angel looked like a young man, of age between 25 and 30 years old.

The Travel into Space

After the angel told me that all things are possible with God, he continued,
Come after me, but step only where I step, and do not turn to the side.
When the angel spoke and asked me to follow him, I was compelled to do so at that moment. Throughout my entire experience, I was unable to refuse anything he asked me to do.
Therefore, when the angel asked me to follow him, I felt that I was rising to my feet off the bed and that I had to go after him. We moved very quickly, riding on white horses for part of our  journey. At a certain moment, we stopped and dismounted in front of a very wide river. I knew that we had to cross, but there was no bridge anywhere to be seen. Then the angel told me again,
Step only onto the shape of my footprints and follow me!
He moved ahead and walked on water as easily as he would have walked on ground, and I followed right behind him stepping precisely onto the shape of his footprints as he had instructed.
To my amazement, I could feel that the water was hardening and becoming as dense as stone wherever I would step. We walked on water as if we had been walking on solid rock. We crossed that wide river very easily, without my feet getting wet at all. When we arrived on the other bank of the river, I noticed that my body had gone through a transformation. I immediately realized that my body was no longer composed of matter (flesh and blood) and it no longer had weight.
I now possessed an extremely light body, and found that it could penetrate effortlessly through everything. Moreover, I came to have an extra sense that I did not have before. I was able to understand absolutely anything and everything that was happening to me and around me. I was able to communicate with the angel without using my voice, through direct thoughts exchanged between us. I was effortlessly asking him something in my mind and he was answering the same way.

The Visit to Hades*

* N.T. – Hades (a Greek word) is the translation of “Sheol” (a Hebrew word, from the Hebrew Scriptures). It refers to the temporary abode of the dead (Revelation 20:13, Acts 2:31, etc.) who are awaiting their resurrection. It is separate and distinct from the final “Hell” (a translation of Greek word Geenna “??????”, equivalent to the Hebrew Ge Hinnom, or English “Gehenna”, the eternal Lake of Fire, – Revelation 20:14-15) which is the place of eternal punishment for the damned. (For more details, see any New Bible Dictionary).

Right away we started to descend together through the ground. From the very beginning I knew the angel would take me to Hades because he had previously told me,
Now we shall travel the distance that separates us from Hades.
We were able to pass through Earth’s matter without any difficulty. Suddenly, the foundation of the Earth appeared in front of us. I was deeply impressed by its great appearance and grandeur. I stopped for a few moments to admire it. It was so beautiful! As I stood in front of it, I immediately understood that God had settled the Earth on a foundation.
Journalist – In what shape or form did you see or perceive this foundation?
Lia – Even though in school we were not taught that the Earth has or is settled on a foundation, when I was in front of it that’s exactly what I saw. This foundation had the shape of huge pillars, extremely solid, that seemed to be fashioned from a kind of white, shiny marble. In fact, it is very difficult to me to describe the beauty of that foundation, not to mention everything else that I saw there. It appeared to be an enormous construction, very majestic, and firmly anchored in the Universe. Stopping to admire that beautiful piece of God-made architecture, the angel warned me that we needed to continue our journey and move farther on toward Hades.
As we continued beyond the foundation of the Earth and were travelling, I came to see some gigantic gates in the distance. I instantly understood that these were the gates of Hades. As we drew closer and closer to the gates, I began to feel a profound pain and a heavy spiritual weight within me. My suffering was becoming more pronounced and harder to bear with every step. Then, I started to moan like someone who is going through intense pain or suffering. I asked the angel why I was feeling pain as we were approaching the gates of Hades. The angel answered,
You feel exactly what a soul feels who comes here from Earth after his physical death and who must enter Hades. Therefore, you experience the same feelings.
As we continued our approach and were getting closer and closer to the gates, the spiritual pain and weight within me became almost unbearable. Many of you may have experienced great trials in life, troubles and despair, hopeless situations when you could find no encouragement or consolation from anyone or anywhere. That is how I felt then. I felt that once I entered through those gates, any hope of ever getting out of that place was lost.
After I entered Hades, I lost any previous desire to see any family there, or to find answers to questions like “Where were they?”, “What were they doing?” or “How they were doing?”
The moment I entered, I realized that all the souls in that place had a body identical to mine, with the same properties. Everyone was perfectly conscious and understood absolutely everything that was happening around them. Everybody knew where they were and why they were in that place.  All of whom I was passing by knew who I was, and I knew who they were.
Journalist – Did that spiritual body we are discussing have a shape?
Lia – Yes, it had the shape of the human body with the only difference being that it was not made from flesh and blood.
Journalist – Did it have a face or facial features?
Lia – Yes, certainly.  There the spiritual body had the same facial structure and appearance as that of the respective human while living on Earth, but it was, let’s say, rejuvenated. For instance I knew that a man who stood in front of me was in fact my former neighbor from across the street who had died some time before. I knew it was him and I even felt his pain because he was in that place. He also knew who I was. There, absolutely everything is known.
Journalist – Even though, let us say, that man died at 60, was his face looking like it was in his youth?
Lia – Yes, every one had the same facial appearance that he or she had while living on Earth, but evidently rejuvenated. There, even though I may not have known any particular person before, when I was in front of anyone, I instantly knew everything about that person.  I knew things such as: what kind of people or nation that person had belonged to, what had been their cause of death, even if the death might have occurred 2000 years ago. All that information was instantly available to me! I also knew that all the souls that were present there were waiting for the Final Judgment.
Then it was given to me to understand and feel the pain, spiritual burden and despair of those souls that were in that place. Furthermore, I knew that once one entered into that place, hope was lost of ever being able to get out again.
Hades is the very first great separation from God, and all the souls found there were fully conscious that once in that place, they could no longer reconnect to God in any way. They knew they would be summoned to face God at the final judgment for their deeds while living on Earth. They also knew they could not correct anything from their past. Once they had died and had been brought to that place, any hope of mediation or help from God was then gone forever.
That was the reason all those souls were living in a state of terrible agony and sorrow, of insecurity and uncertainty because they did not know the verdict they would receive at the Final Judgment. Would they be forgiven for the mistakes they made during their lives, and thus, be saved from that place? Would they be found guilty and be sent to Hell forever? Each of them was very familiar with the facts of their own life and was fully aware – more than ever – of the significance and gravity of sins. Each had a chance to turn onto the right path during their Earthly lives but they had disregarded it. Tortured and torn apart by all those thoughts, everyone was frantically analyzing the facts of their lives, trying to find something, anything that might come in their favor or could soften their circumstances at the Final Judgment. Therefore, each soul was intensely preoccupied by their own situation, no longer caring for anyone else around them.
Overwhelmed by the torturing atmosphere of that terrible place, I did not want to go any further or see anything else that existed there, as I had initially wanted when the journey began. I was intensely overcome with the deep sorrow and awful pain of being forever separated from God.
The separation from God that one feels in Hades cannot be compared to any pain felt on Earth! I wish that no single soul on Earth would ever end up in Hades. Words cannot describe what is felt when you are separated from God in that place.

The Journey onto the Mountain of God

Being afraid of staying there longer or to be forgotten by the angel in that place – where once arrived you cannot exit – I started to cry and groan like a child. Noticing the state I was in, the angel escorted me out from Hades and told me,
Now we are going to go farther and climb onto the Mountain of God.
As we departed from that terrible place, the pain and burden I was feeling started to fade away. Ahead of us laid a completely different perspective. The distances of the Universe are enormous, but we managed to move with an astonishing speed.
It seemed to me that only a few moments had passed and we already arrived at the foot of the Mountain of God. Suddenly I found myself in front of a very high and imposing mountain.  Then I understood that the mountain was the Mountain of God and we would have to climb that mountain the same way one would hike on a mountain on Earth. Everything was in an unimaginable display of splendor and holiness, almost impossible to be described in words.

The White Path

While looking at the mountain, I noticed that, starting from its base, there was an extremely white path, as wide as a human palm, unfolding up the entire mountain toward its summit. I had never seen such an intense white on Earth. Any footstep, had it been stained, would leave a trace on that path. It depended on whether your feet were dirty or not, if your life was clean or not.
The angel warned me not to step aside from the path because the mount is holy and if I hesitated from the path I would fall down from the mountain. Why was this so?  Because I would need to be able to understand certain aspects and scenes that I was about to see.
All those who were ascending on that path were dressed in white clothes. I understood they represent people still alive on Earth. At a certain moment, during the ascension, I noticed that some were walking more easily and some were having difficulty in their walk. Some were crawling on their elbows and knees and hence had many wounds. The angel explained to me that some were ascending much harder than others because they had endured humiliation and sufferings on Earth due to their faith in Jesus Christ, and some paid even with their own lives.
I saw an old little man that was climbing with very much difficulty; he was wounded all around his elbows. When I saw him, I instantly acknowledged everything about him – where he had been from, what church he had belonged to, and so on. Being anxious to find out the explanation, I asked the angel,
Why is that old man having such a hard time moving forward on the path?
The angel explained,
He is persecuted every day because of his faith in Jesus Christ, but he stands strong in his faith.
I noticed the difficulty with which this old man was climbing on the path. He was earnestly advancing despite of his sufferings and was ready to even give up his life for Jesus Christ.
As we were moving ahead onto the path, I saw that some were stepping outside of it. They were not able to return onto the path because in the meantime it was occupied by those who were going up. Therefore, instead of going up, these backsliders were going back down. Moreover, some of them were not able to simply walk down, but they were tumbling toward the base of the mountain. Then I asked the angel,
Who are those that are descending? Stop them, please, do not let them go down!
The angel replied,
I cannot stop them, I am not allowed to. I do strictly what I am told to do. If I am told to do something, I do it, or if I am told not to do something, then I do not do it.  I have no right to stop anyone. Everyone is free to do whatever they want with their life.  Each individual is free to decide either to climb the path of their life to God until the end, or turn away from the path, abandoning it, if they choose to do so.
Then I asked the angel,
What will happen to the souls of those that are descending?
And the angel answered,
They are now going where we have come from – Hades.
Being worried for the fate of those souls and knowing what their ending would be in that place, I insisted on asking the angel again,
Oh, but stop them, do not let them reach Hades!
The angel told me again,
I cannot do that. I only do what I am allowed to do. These souls go there because they no longer like the path that leads to God, but they will be held accountable for their decision.
Journalist – Who do you think these descending souls were? Coming back to our life on Earth, who might represent these souls?  They must have an equivalent in our world, right?
Lia – Yes, that is correct. Those souls as I understood represent the people still alive on Earth that had decided at a particular moment in life to come to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, adhering to His word.  They loved and revered Him for a while, but then they started disliking the pure life they were supposed to live, as Jesus asked them to live. Therefore some of them said to themselves,
“This path is too hard and too narrow for me. In fact I cannot do whatever I please, I cannot have a lover or an affair if I want, I cannot get rich and do dirty business, I cannot do this and that.”  These people no longer wanted to go with Jesus because Jesus Christ Himself is the path, the white path onto the Mountain of God. On that path one can only step with extreme care because any spot, no matter how faint it might be, is still visible and any soul will consequently be scrutinized for all the unclean spots and traces left behind on the path.
Those souls were going back to the life they had before coming to Christ, they were going back to the sinful lifestyle from their past. They were doing this consciously and not determined by anyone else. They began to dislike living a clean life. They abandoned their faith in God and His salvation and went back to their previous worldly sinful lifestyle.
They traded their salvation for worldly pleasures. This may seem very pleasurable at the time, and some may think this exchange will bring prosperity and freedom, but one cannot see how they reached this prosperity, whether or not there is an extramarital affair or some other sin behind their apparent success. These people may say: “Why not? It is not such a big sin.” According to their logic, nobody sees it, nobody knows about it. This type of reasoning leads to actions that are profitable or pleasurable for a short time for some, but in the end they will be asked to give an account for their deeds. Their judgment will be much more severe because they had heard the truth but chose to ignore it.
As I stood on the Mountain of God, I suddenly saw an immense fire on the top of the mountain. That fire was so great and imposing that you could not take your eyes off it. That fire was continually and relentlessly burning! It had a common base for three immense and distinct flames. When I looked at it, I instantly understood that this was God – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It was the Divine Himself within the fire on top of the mountain!

In the Final Judgment Courtroom

After that we immediately turned to the left and the path suddenly changed direction. An enormous hall appeared in front of us. It was the courtroom where the final judgment would be held. Its dimensions were immense and seemed to be of cosmic magnitude. What was interesting about these heavenly dimensions was that the greater they were, the closer they appeared to be.
When we arrived at the doorsteps of this hall, above it there was the same immense three-flame fire that I had previously seen on the top of the Mountain of God. There I also saw a huge bright cloud, which I understood right away that it was formed of all the saints that had lived on Earth and had been subjected to the First Resurrection, which I had not witnessed.
Then the angel placed me exactly on the doorstep of the judgment courtroom. In front of me stood this huge courtroom, and deeper into the courtroom there was a very large and long table. At each of the two ends of the table there was an angel, both of which looked like the one that was escorting me. The two angels were assisting a third person that was sitting at the middle of the table. I immediately understood that the third person was the Lord Jesus Christ. On the sides of the courtroom were very many immense shelves having a multitude of books on them.
These books were in fact the book of life of each individual that ever lived on Earth, containing a record of their entire life with all their actions and deeds.
Suddenly, a very loud noise was heard, a roaring sound produced by large crowds of people in motion. This marked the resurrection and the beginning of the judgment of those in Hades!
They were marching toward the final judgment courtroom, coming aligned in huge columns. They had been resurrected by generations, starting with the first generation that inhabited Earth and ending with the last generation. Among them were teenagers, men and women, young and old, belonging to all the nations of the world. They were coming in huge waves, one wave after another, like the waves of an ocean. It was a terrifying and trembling noise that seemed to shake the whole Universe. One angel was sitting to the right and another to the left and they were arranging those coming in into two rows by the time they were entering the hall. Everything was being conducted and executed in a perfectly ordered fashion.
After the resurrection of the dead ended, a total silence settled in. The entire audience was waiting for the judgment to begin.

The Judgment of a Man

I personally witnessed the judgment of one man.  He was brought in front of Jesus by one of the usher angels. Then one of the two angels sitting at the table extracted that man’s life book from a shelf in the library and placed it on the table, in front of the Lord Jesus.
The next moment a screen of gigantic dimensions appeared in front of all of us, similar to a cinema screen. The kind of technology that I have witnessed over there is not known on Earth: when the Lord opened the book of life of that man, starting with the first page, the entire life of that man started rolling on the screen in front of us and in front of the whole Universe. The Lord Jesus was not in a hurry and while He was patiently turning each page of the book, images and sound showed everything that man had done during his life.
Everything could be seen to the finest detail, moment by moment, day by day, starting from birth, through childhood, youth, and adulthood up until death. At the Final Judgment, everything that man had done, whether good or evil, every thought, word and feeling from his entire lifetime was shown exactly like a film in front of us all. Nothing remained hidden! Everyone could see and hear even the most intimate thoughts and feelings that man had during his life, including the most discreet, known only to him, all of them resonated and were speaking loudly and clearly to all of us.
At this judgment, the Lord Jesus was the only judge.  Nobody intervened, not even the Father who was overseeing from the summit of the mountain. Jesus Christ was the only one that decided and gave the final verdict, after analyzing the whole life of the one who was on trial.  The analysis and judgment were made in front of everyone, so that all could see clearly that His judgment was righteous.
And thus we found that this man was a priest in a church while living on Earth, and hence the truth had been relatively available to him. After watching the life of that priest in fine detail, I felt full of shame. I fell down on my knees right there on the doorsteps of the courtroom. I bowed my head to the ground, feeling I was a tiny particle of dust in the presence of Lord Jesus.
After witnessing all those events, I became more conscious than ever and fully convinced that all we do on Earth is recorded and nothing can be hidden nor concealed from the face of God. In those moments I began thinking about my life and I boldly, but fearfully, said to myself, “Lord, only Your mercy and clemency can pardon us from Your righteous judgment!”
After that man’s entire life had rolled in front of everybody, the Lord asked him,
Do you have anything to say in your own defense?
The man bowed down his head in front of the Lord and was silent. He could say nothing in his defense, because he knew that nothing he did had remained hidden.
In those moments I understood – and this fact shocked me profoundly – that whenever necessary, the Lord could ask any of the saints from that shiny cloud above the courtroom to stand as witnesses for any relevant moment from that man’s life. Some of them had lived in close proximity of the judged person and could have confirmed any aspect or detail related to that man’s life.  Moreover, it did not matter what kind of religion the man had embraced during his life on Earth. The judgment was made according to the amount of knowledge and how much was fulfilled in accordance with the Ten Commandments from the Bible.
Furthermore, the Lord Jesus could also summon non-living things as witnesses, things that were around the person at certain times, such as the closet from his room, the crossbeam of his house roof, the road the man had walked on, the tree he had passed by every day or anything else. These objects could appear as living beings before the Lord, and testify, confirm or deny facts, events and details regarding that person. This is the majesty of the Lord Jesus. When I saw and understood all these things, I was in complete shock and tremble because I never would have thought that something like this is possible.

The Verdict and the Sentencing

In the moments that followed, a dense silence enveloped that judgment hall. All of us were waiting for the final verdict with great anxiety and tension. This man’s eternal destiny was being decided, and he would either, be forgiven and accepted into Heaven or he would be condemned and sent to Hell forever. The judgment of that man continued. Lord Jesus opened another book that was on the table, which I understood that it was the Book of Life. The Lord searched and found the man’s name written in it.  Then, the Lord addressed the man,
Because of the words you have told others about Me, that I am Life, that I am eternal Life, and that knowing Me by hearing My Word and choosing to follow Me means gaining eternal life, I pronounce you blessed, because others around you have benefitted from the words you have spoken.
The next moment, all those that were present including the angels, saints and all other celestial beings erupted in a loud cry of joy because one soul had been pardoned. The Lord Jesus then signaled to the Sun to come closer. The Sun, with all its great beauty, came in the form of a living being, bowing to the ground as it stood before the Lord. Then Lord Jesus addressed the Sun, saying,
Take off your garment, and go and dress him with it!
The Sun, just as a human would have done, took off his garment, and dressed the man who now received the shine and splendor of the Sun. Then the man was taken to join the group that was glowing just like him. Then I saw that there were different groups of individuals that had different intensities of brightness. There were some groups that shined so intensely that their brightness was almost merging with the images of their spiritual bodies.

The Return to Earth

This was all I was allowed to see from the Final Judgment, which continued. The angel took me out of the courtroom and told me,
We are returning to Earth now.
It was time for me to leave that wonderful place where for a brief period of time I was allowed to stay and witness these events. This time, my soul was in a completely different state compared to the initial one. At the beginning of the journey I had told the angel that I did not want to die just to be able to see the Final Judgment. Now I was so overwhelmed by everything I had seen, heard and felt on this journey, that I did not wish to return to Earth.
The contrast between the two worlds – the celestial and the earthly – seemed so huge to me, that I came to ask myself in wonder, “Why do we humans love our lives on Earth so much, lives that are so often imperfect, dirty, full of suffering and above all, lacking in the splendor of the presence of God?”
It was very difficult for me to accept the fact that I had to go back to Earth where I would have to live in my physical body again. I knew that it would be impossible not to make mistakes for as long as I would be in that material body. I asked the angel not to take me back to Earth but to leave me there, where I felt I was truly at home. Instead the angel wanted to remind me of something very important upon my departure and replied,
Those you saw descending onto the white path from the Mountain of God are those that had trampled the grace that had been offered to them. You all have a great, great gift! You have the grace! You are offered the Salvation freely, and you are forgiven by the grace made available through the death of the Lord Jesus Christ who died for you all. The dirty garment of your soul was cleansed when you came to Him and through His blood you became clean. But whosoever tramples this Grace must come to the Judgment.
I then understood that it is easier for those who have known or have had a connection with a certain degree of truth, but did not have the chance to know the grace and receive it. Perhaps there are people of different faiths, Buddhists, Muslims and others who have a high moral standard, but did not have the chance to know about this grace. Their judgment will be lighter.
However for those who heard about this grace but despised it, in other words those who were offered this priceless gift and rejected it, will be condemned and lost for eternity. I do not wish that anyone would end up at the Final Judgment for something like this, in front of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Aftermath of the Journey to Heaven

Knowing that I would have to come back home, a strong feeling of shame encompassed me. I did not want to go back and live on Earth again. I was aware that I had a family, but I also knew that Lord Jesus could help them move on without me. Finally, I had to accept that I needed to return to Earth. I left the Mount of God and the Judgment Hall and I returned to the same place from where I had departed. I found myself in my room again, back in my physical body. In the next coming weeks, I felt extremely sick and very weak. I was so profoundly marked by this experience that I simply felt I did not want to live any longer.
Journalist – Are you referring to the fact that you were sick physically or spiritually?
Lia – I meant it both spiritually and physically because I started to suffer in my body. Everything around me now appeared to be ugly and dirty! I was seeing myself as being ugly as well. I was disgusted by my own person and by everything that surrounded me. It all seemed ugly in contrast to what I had seen during my visit to that marvelous realm of God. I did not want to eat anymore and I sensed that my body was rejecting the food, as well as refusing to live any longer.
Journalist – Why?
Lia – It became difficult to live on Earth because I was conscious that while I lived in my physical body it was impossible not to fall short of God’s commandments and not to sin. Right after the return to Earth, I became aware like never before, of what sin really means and what its consequences really are. At the same time I was overwhelmed by the Lord’s greatness and by what I had witnessed where I had been. I was overwhelmed by His righteousness and by the holiness I had seen there. If it were not for the freely available grace of God, we would be the most lamentable beings standing before the Lord Jesus Christ.
I had seen and felt the holiness of the Lord Jesus, of His divinity and that of His Mountain, which could not be walked on with disregard. Those who embraced the sin in their lives were forced to descend, being unable to continue climbing while clinging to their sin.  Everything was beaming with holiness in that place. The angel had added,
This holiness is granted to you by grace, through forgiveness!
Because Jesus Christ had paid the price for our sins which were washed away through His blood, we received a gift, a priceless grace, Salvation. Salvation is worth more than any treasure on the face of the Earth, it is worth more than all the billions of dollars the richest man in the world might ever have.
The most sorrowful man in eternity is the one that will not be saved, that would not know the Lord Jesus Christ and that would not change his life the way He asks everyone to!
I lost my desire to live because I loathed all things around me: wealth, food, and anything else that could separate me from the Lord Jesus Christ and His salvation. I felt that living means either being totally committed to Jesus or to live with disregard towards God’s grace, trampling it with a despising attitude, way of thinking and emotions. I was shown how absolutely everything would be revealed at the judgment, every feeling, thought, look and deed. However it was of great comfort and relief for me when the angel said,
You all benefit from a great gift, the grace.  Anywhere you will travel on Earth, tell others what you have seen and how this grace surpasses everything. To be and to live by grace with the Lord Jesus, is everything. Salvation is everything!
If there was ever a time when you loved someone with all your heart and soul and at that moment you felt you could not live without that person, that feeling is like a moment of eternal bliss. Much more than that, anyone can live eternally within such complete love without lacking anything.

Conclusions

Then I told myself that I must share the message of hope with any person that I will meet, that Jesus Christ is our Savior.
Journalist – Finally, what would you like to communicate to those that will read this testimony?
Lia – I would like each individual to believe, and mostly to be convinced that beyond the reality of everyday life on Earth and beyond our physical death, there is another world just as real as this one, but nonetheless completely different. Our journey does not end at the grave, but we continue into another dimension, whether we believe it or not. We go further, our final destination being either Heaven or Hell. There isn’t a third choice. As long as we live on Earth, each of us is free to choose our final destination. If we want Heaven to be our final destination, then we have to come to Christ through faith, yield to Him as our Master and Savior, and consequently live our life by His commandments.
Moreover, I would like everyone to know and be convinced that there will be a final judgment, and we all will stand before God and be held accountable for our deeds, for the way we lived on Earth, regardless of religion and beliefs.
This Final Judgment is not a myth, it is a REALITY! Eternal punishment can be avoided. For further reading and details, I encourage everyone to study the Bible. In the Old Testament, God promises He will be found by all those who will seek Him wholeheartedly (Jeremiah 29:13, NKJV).

LECTIA DE PEDAGOGIE: Violenta familiala si urmarile ei in procesul educativ

„Istoria umana, spunea H.G. Wells, devine tot mai mult o intrecere intre educatie si catastrofa”. Si asta pentru ca violenta umana a atins cote alarmante, iar educatia inca mai bajbaie.
Tinerii, inclusiv scolarii, se confrunta cu diverse tipuri de violenta, acestea variind de la abuzul copilului in familie la agresiunea stradala, de la violenta cauzata de framantarile sociale sau politice pana la conflictele deschise sau razboiul declarat. Indiferent de forma sa, impactul violentei asupra tinerilor este deosebit de nociv; aceasta le distruge increderea in sine si le diminueaza sentimentul ca pot avea o contributie pozitiva in societate.
Una din formele acute ale violentei isi are radacina in mediul familial, acolo unde copiii ar trebui sa intretina relatii intergrupale necesare socializarii si formarii sale ca personalitate.
Totul incepe cu neglijenta parintilor, grija prea mare pentru ziua de maine ii face pe acestia sa-si scape copiii de sub control si sa nu mai dea atentie nevoilor si modului de comportare al copiilor. La acestea se adauga anturajul din care fac parte adolescentii si dezinteresul lor fata de cei din jur. Traiesc continuu cu parerea ca lumea le apartine. O mare influenta asupra „micilor delincventi” o au, in alta odine de idei, criza nebuna de bani si faptul ca sunt crescuti intr-un mediu al alcoolemiei in care toti sunt invatati sa obtina ce vor prin fel si fel de metode, departe de a tine cont de o anume lege.
Sunt iesiti de sub control din dorinta de afirmare, de distractie. Vor sa copieze pe altii pentru ca ajung sa nu se mai cunoasca pe ei insisi. Pun in practica ce vad la televizor, in jurul lor si, din pacate, in familie: violenta, neglijenta, dezinteresul, razbunarea. Foarte multi dintre adolescenti abandoneaza scoala, iar sansele de a deveni un delincvent sunt mult mai mari.
Delincventa juvenila, tot mai des intalnita in ziua de azi, este masca „la moda” a acelor tineri care incep sa se maturizeze si trec printr-o perioada cu multiple schimbari ce implica tulburari comportamentale si crize de personalitate. Deci, o etapa de viata – normala dealtfel – stimulata de indiferenta si carente educationale, ce poate duce la conturarea unui psihic haotic si un ego traumatizat.
Societatea este un mediu care favorizeaza rebuturile umane pentru ca ea perverteste, corupe umanitatea din noi, o altereaza – cum ar spune Rousseau. Saracia este una din ranile societatii ce sangereaza mereu in mii de familii. De aici incolo, tinerii aceia firavi, curati, sunt impinsi la afaceri nu tocmai potrivite valorilor sociale: droguri, prostitutie, jaf, crima. Periferia societatii vine peste noi, sufocandu-ne, distrugandu-ne…
Un alt factor frecvent in lumea contemporana este dezbinarea familiei tanarului sau potentialele scandaluri provocate de gelozie, alcool si chiar droguri.
Ce-i de facut in sprijinul eliminarii efectelor negative ale societatii asupra adolescentului?
Un sistem educational corespunzator, deopotriva, valorilor societatii, dar si moralei comunitatii. In privinta sistemului educational, dincolo de litera manualului sau de perceptia socialului este relatia educator-educat, relatie in care trebuie sa primeze raportul instructiv-educativ bazat pe echilibrul dintre autoritate si libertate. Numai asa educatia poate deveni un control social.
Educatia fiind o colaborare intergeneratii, adultul, parintele sau profesorul au – ca reprezentanti ai maturitatii sociale – anumite prerogative rezultate din aceasta situatie: autoritate, control, coercitie, sanctiune etc. Tanarul trebuie sa suporte si sa se supuna rigorilor rezultate din caracteristicile sociologice ale acestui raport.
Relatia adult-tanar este o relatie de socializare prin care se transmit anumite modele ale raporturilor sociale scoala face acest lucru. Numai ca atunci cand adultul de acasa nu colaboreaza educational cu minorul, lasat prada violentei, efortul scolii este zadarnic, ea trebuind sa suporte actele violente ale tanarului care se crede prea liber, propriul lui stapan. Ca autoritatea adultului, profesorului sa fie eficienta in eliminarea comportamentului deviant ea trebuie sa fie de natura morala. Numai asa apar in educator doua conditii. Prima este vointa, a doua este autoritatea. Dar, autoritatea implica incredere, iar adolescentul nu poate avea incredere in cineva care ezita, care revine asupra hotararilor sale. Aceasta conditie este importanta numai daca educatorul insusi simte cu adevarat in el autoritatea pe care urmareste sa o faca simtita in copil. Educatorul, ca reprezentant al autoritatii, resimte totdeauna tentatia unui abuz de putere, a violentarii relatiei educator-educat, conform principiului: „eu sunt matur, prin urmare gandesc bine”. Aceasta stare, denumita de E. Durkheim „megalomanie scolara” rezulta din sentimentul exagerat al educatorului despre propria sa putere in raport cu educatul. In fapt, ea rezulta din decalajul psihosocial dintre cei doi. In acest caz relatia educationala este ineficienta, chiar nociva pentru copil care traumatizat devine violent, nu pentru ca si-a insusit modelul educatorului, ci pentru a se refula, a domina si el prin forta pe altii.
Autoritatea veritabila nu include nici orgoliul, nici vanitatea, nici pedanteria. Ea consta in intregime in respectul pe care educatorul il are fata de „functia sa”. Autoritatea fara libertate nu poate da nastere unui om cu personalitate bine formata, apta sa raspunda cerintelor sociale, politice, economice si culturale ale societatii. Dar libertatea sa fie fiica autoritatii bine inteleasa. „Caci a fi liber – spune Durkheim – nu inseamna a face ceea ce-ti place, ci a fi stapan pe tine, adica a te purta rational si a-ti face datoria. Pentru a dota un copil cu stapanire de sine, trebuie utilizata autoritatea educatorului, iar autoritatea acestuia nu este decat un aspect al autoritatii datoriei si ratiunii”.
Copilul va fi nevoit sa o recunoasca in cuvantul educatorului si sa renunte la o parte din prerogativele libertatii sale, constient ca prea multa libertate duce la disparitia unui model comparativ, la haos si dezumanizare. Numai in acest fel va sti mai tarziu sa o gaseasca in propria-i constiinta si sa i se supuna.
Un posibil dezechilibru intre autoritate si libertate ar duce, fie la despotism, fie la disparitia moralei sociale. In ambele cazuri numai violenta triumfa. Biruinta ei inseamna disparitia frumosului, a iubirii, a firescului dintre noi…
Scoala trebuie sa se deschida catre societate si sa constituie o viata interna bazata pe echilibrul autoritate-libertate in educatie. Considerand scoala ca o „societate scolara” unde au loc fenomene de contagiune sau de moralizare colectiva, de efervescenta, Durkheim spune ca educatorul trebuie sa precizeze prin actiunile sale sociale sensul notiunii de grup. Pentru ca in grup se invata bazele activitatii sociale transformatoare, se asimileaza regulile, se descifreaza intelesul autoritatii si iubirii, se intelege semnificatia lui „noi” in raport cu „ei”.
Marea problema a scolii de azi este disciplina, lipsa educatiei familiale, lipsa minimului de moralitate. Se poate vedea cu tristete ca tinerii – educatii nostri de toate zilele – fac parte din noi, din lacrima dulce plecata haihui inspre niciunde…
O putem strivi intre degete, ori saruta ca si cum am fi gresit cu noi insine.

Cand am urcat in avionul ce urma sa ne duca spre Romania, mi s-a parut ca trec un deal si ajung intr-un sat romanesc, in care graiul strabun este pastrat cu sfintenie. Cuvintele ce le auzeam imprejur imi pareau versuri de cantec si melodia sufletului nascut langa apa de izvor… Si cuvintele ce le auzeam imi dadeau linistea ce-o cautam…
Pe valuri de nori si in zumzetul motoarelor, inconjurati de razele de soare si de albastrul cerului fara sfarsit, am calatorit ore in sir si am avut ragazul sa reflectez la vatra stramoseasca si la pretul ce l-am platit ca sa raman cu sufletul curat ca apa de izvor si cu credinta in Dumnezeu nealterata de valurile napraznice si reci ale vietii. De dragul parfumului si al frumusetii trandafirului, se merita sa induri si intepaturile dureroase ale unor spini ascunsi sub petalele rosii, galbene sau albe, ori sub frunzele de un verde crud, cum poti indura si tradarea, lacomia si trufia unor oameni de neomenie si plini de trufie!…
Aterizarea la Otopeni mi-a implinit dorul atator ani de speranta si surghiun… Mi se parea ca visul si realitatea se impletesc, iar spiritul mi se linisteste si ranile incep sa se vindece. Imi venea sa imbratisez pe oricine imi zambea sau se uita la noi uimit ca atatia romani revin sa-si regaseasca izvorul, sa respire aer romanesc si sa li se sature dorul de tara aceasta frumoasa, cu oameni de omenie, cu glia ce o numim „acasa”, impodobita de Dumnezeu ca o mireasa frumoasa… O, Romanie, ne-a adus la tine dorul de casa!…
Eram intr-o mare de oameni ce vorbeau in frumoasa romaneasca si parca fredonau un imn, o oda, un bocet, o balada, o doina, o elegie sau un basm… Ii ascultam pe oamenii acestia: frati si surori de neam cu mine, si-mi simteam sufletul linistit, regasindu-se in poezia graiului strabun…
Si mi-am inceput calatoria in cautarea izvorului, la Bucuresti: orasul vietii mele de pana la plecare in aventura credintei si a biruintei, ca sa ma satur de apa lui curata si sa-mi racoresc sufletul. Imi incepeam calatoria de revedere, dar si cea de fiu revenit sa-si vada casa parinteasca de sub glia stramoseasca, unde tarana din tarana se odihnea, si sa simta in fiecare fir de iarba ecoul pasilor strabunilor lui… Si pomii in floare, in strai de sarbatoare, parca, imi salutau sosirea, ca sa pasesc pe urmele pasilor parintilor si strabunilor mei ce mi-au lasat mostenire dorul si sufletul de omenie, ca si credinta in Dumnezeu, ca si iubirea pentru neamul meu…
Am vizitat biserici, unde am intalnit prieteni si frati, surori de credinta si de suferinta, prieteni cu inima sincera pentru Adevarul lui Dumnezeu; si mi s-a umplut inima de bucurie, cand am putut sa le marturisesc credinta constienta din sufletul meu… Am reintalnit colegi de scoala – altadata cu inima goala si fara credinta – dar acum, ingenunchind la altar si inchinandu-se cu mine, lui Dumnezeu. Ce bucurie pentru sufletul meu!… Si ce biruinta pentru Dumnezeu!
Ce surpriza fericita si bucurie am avut, in sufletul meu, cand am intalnit, in biserici, colegi, profesori sau ingineri, doctori, prieteni de scoala si oameni de toate profesiunile, inchinandu-se liberi lui Dumnezeu!…
Sa aflu ca in tara mea exista facultati, licee si scoli crestine a insemnat o implinire a unui vis al meu: sa-L vad in scolile din tara mea pe Dumnezeu… N-am fost de fata la schimbarile minunate facute in tara dorului meu, dar cu sufletul si cu rugaciunea m-am simtit parte din minunile acestea ale lui Dumnezeu pentru neamul meu…
La Resita si Orsova, am admirat noile locasuri de inchinaciune intr-un stil arhitectonic al zilelor noastre si cu conditiile cele mai moderne. M-am simtit si in aceste orase, ca si peste tot pe unde am colindat in tara, cu sufletul imbobocit intr-o realitate plina de bucurie, vazand ca Dumnezeu a readus libera credinta si in tara sufletului meu…
Intalnind atatia prieteni si sceptici intorsi la Dumnezeu, mi-am intarit – si eu – credinta in sufletul meu. Mi-au venit in minte cuvinte din Cuvantul lui Dumnezeu care vorbea – vocea Lui rasuna si astazi… – de multa vreme si neamului meu: „Omul va trebui sa-si plece in jos privirea semeata si ingamfarea lui va fi smerita; numai Domnul va fi inaltat in ziua aceea , caci este o zi a Domnului ostirilor impotriva oricarui om mandru si trufas, impotriva oricui se inalta, ca sa fie plecat…” (Isaia 2/11-12).
Am spus – si o spun – ca Dumnezeu vrea sa readuca la credinta si ascultare poporul roman, pentru ca vrea ca romanii, sau romancele sa nu piara , ci sa aiba viata, prin pocainta si credinta. Proorocul Zaharia transmite mesajul divin de chemare la ascultare, ca sa nu vina ceva mai greu si mai de nesuportat: „Intoarceti-va la Mine – zice Domnul ostirilor -; si ma voi intoarce si Eu la voi… Intoarceti-va de la faptele voastre rele!…” (Zaharia 1/3, 4-b).
In continuarea calatoriei, am poposit pe Valea Prahovei, locul unei parti din copilaria mea, acolo unde se afla giuvaierul Bucegilor nostri, unde muntii, padurile si raul Prahova isi etaleaza frumusetea si-ti dau curajul revenirii la matca. La Sinaia, mi-am mangaiat privirea pe frumusetile de pe Valea Furnica, de la Peles, Pelisor, Cota 1400, dar mi s-a innegurat privirea si am simtit cum tristetea isi cauta culcusul in sufletul meu la vizitarea orfelinatului din localitate, aflat langa manastirea, de pe povarnisul ce duce spre lumea de tacere si mister a muntilor Bucegi, cand mi-am amintit de trecut si am vazut prezentul. Ma gandeam, pe cand revedeam orfelinatul cu frumoasele lui alei, de pe coama de deal, dar si cand intalneam fetele triste si ingandurate ale copiilor orfani, cat ii iubeste de mult si le poarta de grija acestora Mantuitorul….
Sa ne apropiem de sufletul orfanilor cu gingasie si sa punem pe ranile sufletului lor balsamul de mangaiere si alinare; si uleiul binefacator al credintei si al sperantei, prin bunatate, omenie si dragoste sfanta. Cine face rau unui orfan se atinge de ochii lui Dumnezeu, caci El il iubeste si il ia, pentru totdeauna, sub pavaza Sa!…
La Busteni: mica cetate de granit, unde mi-am petrecut trei ani frumosi din copilarie, am calcat pe urmele ce le-am lasat pe cand incercam sa patrund tainele vietii si ale naturii ce o vedeam cu panorama muntilor Caraiman, mereu acoperiti de nori, si care, acum, cand am revenit de pe meleaguri straine, mi-au stamparat al meu dor, cand si-au aratat piscul cu crucea de beton si piatra de pe creasta lor, cand m-am apropiat de poalele Bucegilor. Vedeam aceeasi cruce, ca atunci cand aveam 12 ani, la marginea prapastiei, de straja inaltimilor, luminand cu lumina electrica trasa pana la ea, imprejurimile, luminitele becurilor ei vazandu-se pana departe. Crucea aceasta ce mi-a fascinat copilaria a ramas neclintita de vanturi si ploi, de zapezi furtunoase sau de frig sau de caldura si nici de rugina vremii, ci statea mai departe, de straja in varful de munte numit Caraiman, in lumea ei: lumea tacerii de stanca ce mi-a umplut si mie sufletul de mister si am sapat cuvinte in poemul

„Templul tacerii de stanca”…

La Busteni, intr-o sambata cu soare de vara,
In anii tineretii verzi si sanatosi lasati in urma,
Am facut o excursie frumoasa; mai spre seara,
Cand am admirat Caraimanu-n odihna-i nocturna…

M-am oprit langa crucea din piatra masiva si fier
Ce statea cu fata-i intoarsa spre prapastia aceea adanca;
Si-am patruns in lumea de basm si de divinul mister,
Pe varful de munte, in templul tacerii din piatra de stanca…

Pe cer, au aparut stelele ce luminau stralucind in abis.
Mi se parea c-am patruns intr-o lume ireala de vis!…
Acolo-n templul tacerii, puteam s-ating pana si stelele,
Iar luna imi zambea fericita ascunzandu-mi misterele…

Cu fiecare minut ce trecea, intunericul devenea tot mai gros,
Dar faclierii cerului luminau, ca sa vad ca-n jur este frumos.
Imi era teama, ca sa rostesc vreo silaba din bucuria fericirii,
Ca sa nu tulbur cu nimic linistea din templul nocturn al tacerii.

N-as fi vrut sa trezesc pe Cineva acolo: in Cerul acela de Sus,
Unde stiam ca S-a dus sa-mi pregateasca o Casa frumoasa Isus…
De-atunci, cand vad vreo lumina pe cer odihnindu-se-n noapte,
Ma-ntreb, daca nu acolo-i Templul tacerii lasat de mine, departe!…

Din Busteni, am urcat muntii Bucegi, la „Babele”, si, in ceata in care ne-a lasat funicularul, am simtit linistea de stanca. Soarele ne-a zambit doar cateva minute si ne-a dat ragazul sa admiram crucea misterioasa de pe varful Caraiman, martora din templul tacerii de stanca…
La orfelinatul de copii din Busteni m-am simtit ca acasa, dar am lasat, pentru cateva minute, sa ma cuprinda tristetea si nostalgia, intelegandu-i pe copilasii aceia, cu fetele acoperite de zambetele lor palide, cand ma priveau cu o curiozitate neobisnuita, iar vorbele lor, cand le rosteau, parca erau venite din ungherele ascunse ale sufletelor lor zbuciumate si lipsite de dragostea parinteasca, caci ei traiau greutatea cu care soarta stie, pe unii din noi, sa-i loveasca… Traiam sentimentele infratirii cu acesti copii fara copilarie…
Iarasi ma rugam lui Dumnezeu sa aiba grija de sufletele si viitorul lor… Ma rugam si ma rog lui Dumnezeu sa ne dea si noua: tuturor romanilor sa n-avem inimile paganilor, ci sa avem suflete pline de mila si bunatate, de gingasia intelegerii si iubirii semenului tau, caci si tu sau eu putem fi, oricand, intr-o situatie similar de precara, stand in fata sortii cu mana goala, sau la groapa mortii!…
Daca nu ne-am fi dus si pe litoral, poate nu s-ar fi realizat visul de a pasi pe urmele tineretii verzi ce a zburat…; si cu pescarusii galagiosi ce mi-au tinut tovarasie, in revarsatul multor zori, cand soarele abia incepea sa se iveasca ca un imparat infocat peste uscat si-ntinderea imensa de apa sarata si binecuvantata, din anii tineri si de mai tarziu…
Litoralul este o capodopera naturala pe chipul binecuvantat al Romaniei. M-am bucurat si am fost fericit la reintalnirea locurilor, unde am regasit imaginea unica a intalnirii infinitului cu finitul, a vesnicului cu temporalul, a nostalgiei si a bucuriei in fata peisajului, in auzul zumzetului sau vuietului valurilor marii, dar si in admiratia albastrului apei si a zarii, ca si in cea de rasarit sau apus de soare, ca si fericirea de a vedea orizontul din departare…

I. Ce este aceasta carte si cui se adreseaza ea?

– O carte care, fara a fi dogmatica,  identifica drumuri ale iudaismului catre noi, precum si trasee construite de noi catre iudaism, incercand sa refacem o cale spirituala, initiatica, dar si un demers cultural actual, cat si unul democratic, chiar daca inca dificil de construit intr-o democratie  recenta.

– O carte care cerceteaza unele aspecte conceptuale ale totalitarismului din secolul trecut, dar si cateva fenomene totalitare ce  tulbura civilizatia iudeo-crestina din nou, in acest mileniu. De aici si nevoia de memorie, de etica a continuum-ului istoric, de civism si de civilitate. Este nevoia de a privi, sub diferite unghiuri, cu o perspectiva transdisciplinara catre Holocaust si catre Gulag, catre fascism si catre comunism* (in fond o ideologie unica). DE CE O FACEM?  din dorinta de a evita logicile extreme, dar si din dorinta de a pune in opera, ca pe un background al filosofiei politice actuale, observatia facuta candva de filosoful si politologul Vladimir Tismaneanu, anume ca cele doua totalitarisme esentiale ale Europei secolului trecut – Holocaustul si Gulagul – trebuie tratate impreuna, si tot impreuna isi vor afla vindecarea. Din aceasta vindecare noi trebuie sa desprindem astazi – prin etica si prin iubire –  roadele impacarii cu trecutul, precum si intelepciunea de a nu repeta drumurile tragediilor colective. Cumva, precum Ortega Y Gasset, sa observam procedeul dupa care are loc transformarea terapeutica: „cu morala corectam greselile instinctelor noastre, iar cu dragostea – greselile moralei noastre”.

– O carte in care, prin memorii culturale si meditatii, suntem deopotriva in cautarea conceptiei crestine despre om dar si in cautarea conceptiei evreiesti despre om, cautare preluata de mine de la un maestru de gandire unic, asa cum a fost preainteleptul dr. Alexandru Safran, de la a carui nastere s-au implinit, acum trei zile, pe 3 septembrie 2010, o suta de ani. El mi-a transmis conceptul in care a excelat, anume acela de dialog intercultural, anume de dialog intre iudaism si crestinism.

(Marele Rabin Dr. Alexandru Safran (Yehuda Alexandre Shafran) (ebraica ????? ??????? ???? ) n. 12 septembrie 1910, Bacau, Romania , ca fiu al inteleptului rabin (gaon) Betzalel Zeev Safran (1867-1929) – d. 27 iulie 2006, Geneva, Elvetia) carturar, teolog, filosof, istoric si literat evreu, roman si elvetian a fost intre anii 1939-1948 Sef-Rabinul Cultului Mozaic din Romania, senator de drept in Senatul Romaniei (1940}, iar dupa 1948 Mare Rabin al evreilor din Geneva. Membru de onoare al Academiei Romane.

A contribuit la salvarea evreilor din Romania in anii Holocaustului si ca un sprijinitor activ al sionismului a avut o pozitie independenta si de respingere a presiunulor de infiltrare comunista in anii postbelici, fapt pentru care a fost demis si expatriat. A publicat carti in domeniul religiei, filozofiei moralei si misticii iudaice. Atasat de limba si cultura romaneasca el a fost un activ promotor ai dialogului intre iudaism si crestinism).
Iudaismul, spune Safran (intr-o conferinta prezentata la Sorbona, pe 30 martie 1949, publicata in Revue de Théologie et de philosophie, Lausanne, 1965 – text preluat in cartea intitulata Etica evreieasca si modernitatea, Ed. Hasefer, Colectia Judaica, 2005), isi doreste omul in actiune, iar in acest scop iudaismul cere omului sa caute sa dobandeasca o cunoastere de sine, cu alte cuvinte constiinta fortelor creatoare pe care le cuprinde si care ii confera asemanarea cu creatorul. Iudaismul nu cuteaza sa fie o teologie potrivit oamenilor, se ambitioneaza sa ne ofere o antropologie potrivit lui Dumnezeu, adica o stiinta a conduitei omului deci o etica, neaparat conforma cu vointa divina, pe care omul se straduie sa o descopere, sa o cunoasca si sa o realizeze.

Exista in aceasta carte si reflectii asupra descoperirii omului abrahamic, a eticii sale, a intelegerii perspectivei iudaice potrivit careia «oricare om, pentru a primi harul lui Dumnezeu, are capacitatea de a i se adresa Lui in mod direct».

Dumnezeu vrea sa aduca omului mantuirea prin iubire dar vrea sa aduca si societatii mantuirea prin justitie. Mai departe, in cadrul acestui concept, exista doua legi, una a singularului si alta  a pluralului.

1. Iata, pe scurt, formularea singularului: «Cand vei secera holdele tarii, sa lasi nesecerat un colt din campul tau, si sa nu strangi spicele ramase pe urma seceratorilor. Nici sa nu culegi strugurii ramasi dupa cules in via ta, si sa nu strangi boabele care vor cadea din ea. Sa le lasi saracului si strainului » .

2. Apoi iata pe scurt formularea pluralului: «Sa va purtati cu strainul care locuieste intre voi ca si cu un bastinas din mijlocul vostru; sa-l iubiti ca pe voi insiva».  Avem, asadar, porunca biblica formulata in acelasi timp la plural si la singular – ea se adreseaza omului ca persoana si individului ca fiinta sociala. Alexandru Safran atragea atentia asupra faptului ca in acest mod dual, singular – plural, al poruncii divine, ea se adreseaza societatii ca suma a indivizilor si ca personalitate in sine. Dreptul este aici iubire, caritatea e justitie. Nu exista aici opozitie intre lege si iubire, intre lege si credinta, ele se intrepatrund. Termenul de drept este adeseori insotit in Biblia ebraica de acela de justitie, caci dreptul nu este arbitrar. Cat despre omul astfel definit, acesta este un om total, adica un om deopotriva al rationalitatii si al sensibilitatii, un om al carui destin este de a practica binele cu toata fiinta sa.

– Acest top de memorii culturale iudeo-crestine vine si din alt maestru de gandire iudaica, profesorul Moshe Idel, profesor de gandire iudaica la Universitatea din Ierusalim, nascut tot in Moldova (n.1947, Tg. Neamt, Romania). El vorbeste, profetic, despre rostul carturarului: „te duci si citesti ce-au scris si altii, in alte culturi, fara presiunea utilitatii imediate, dar mereu atent. Trebuie sa astepti activ ideile noi, cautand peste tot…”

– O alta sursa a reflectiilor mele este calea Hannah Arendt si calea Monica Lovinescu, numita acum calea est-eticii, asadar etica obligatorie a omului de cultura sub totalitarism, asa incat intelectualitatea sa devina si intelighentzia (vocea intelectualului sa devina importanta si pe discursul etic-civic). Intelectualitatea romana, spre deosebire de cea polona, germana, ceha ori maghiara, de ex.,  din tarile omonime bolsevizate, nu a dat o intelighentzia.

Cartea de fata ofera cateva perspective de lectura multipla asupra volumului Etica neuitarii, de Monica Lovinescu, coordonat de Vladimir Tismaneanu in colectia Zeitgeist, a editurii Humanitas, volum care a fost declarat in Romania cartea anului 2008.

Cateva meditatii, in capitole diverse, asupra sionismului si a Modelului israelian de determinare pentru ideea de stat si de democratie; pornind de la spiritul de emulatie filosofic-politic aferent si pornind de la odiseea gandirii si a conceptiei ce au premers odiseea intemeierii statale propriu-zise din 1948 – asadar, vorbim despre un drum interesant ce porneste din 1896, de la Theodor Herzl si de la proiectele sale formulate la 1895-1896 – adica Der Judenstaat (German, “The State of the Jews”) pentru a ajunge catre zilele noastre (Theodor Herzl – May 2, 1860 –– July 3, 1904) .

– Cartea de fata ofera si cateva priviri asupra Holocaustului: fie prin jurnalele de lagar (Miklos Kanitz, Esther Hillesum, Abel Herzberg etc.), fie prin interpretari pe opera unor martori la Holocaustul romanesc (intre acestia, Norman Manea, situat intre Sofocle si Hegel, modeland sufletul european – o lectie de istorie si de atitudine impotriva Raului, p. 196). Sunt in carte si marturii despre lipsa de adecvare in chestiunea totalitarismului in zilele noastre, despre indepartarea de spiritul central – european, despre Raul politic care este aproape invincibil in absenta memoriei si a eticii. Este, de aceea, si o carte de retrospective multiculturale asupra Gulagului, mai ales despre destinul minoritatilor versus dogma majoritatii xenofobe si protocroniste. Sunt citate si descrise cateva cazuri notorii de abuzuri comise de propaganda antonesciana si respectiv ceausista asupra oamenilor de cultura romani, unul dintre acestia fiind Norman Manea. Cazul de abuz comis impotriva sa si descris de autor in romanul Intoarcerea huliganului a fost deconstruit folosind martori din epoca, unul dintre ei fiind scriitorul si pictorul Constantin Severin, a carui marturie este utilizata in volum.

– La anul la Ierusalim este si o carte de dialoguri (cu Vladimir Tismaneanu, Norman Manea, Simona Grazia Dima, Eugeniu Coseriu etc). Si tocmai de aceea o carte care sacrifica orice confort de dragul principiilor democratiei. Nu intamplator am asociat lansarea ei cu ziua de 15 septembrie, Ziua Internationala a Democratiei. „Atunci cand dialogul este sacrificat pentru intretinerea carnavalului isteriei publice nu mai raman foarte multe lucruri care sa opreasca disolutia unei societati”, spunea recent Vladimir Tismaneanu.

– Actualitatea acestor memorii si jurnale din volumul de fata, a meditatiilor filosofice privind Raul totalitar si discretionar, este evidenta. Povestea e repetabila. Accelerat repetabila. Probabilitatea ca un grup de oameni, autodeclarati superiori, sa se considere indreptatit de a sacrifica un alt grup de oameni, desemnat ca inferior, este intotdeauna maxima in societatea umana. Si nu numai in societatile ancestrale, ci chiar in Europa moderna. In Italia acum doi ani, in Franta acum cateva zile, chiar si in Romania (de ex. asupra mea si a colaboratorilor mei) fascismul explicit prinde forta, este pus in opera prin decizii, adesea chiar de stat (decizia recenta a Presedintelui Sarkozy privind expatrierea rromilor romani si bulgari). Interventia facuta in presa internationala in 2007 de Norman Manea, concetateanul nostru roman si sucevean stabilit la New York, in Cazul Mailat, este o ireprosabila atitudine de cetatean roman si de cetatean al lumii, care prevede si presimte repetabilitatea solutiilor finale aplicate asupra vinovatului de serviciu: „Europa poate si merita sa se dovedeasca o reala comunitate, demna de civilizatia ei veche si noua. Diversa, democrata, spirituala, libera, prospera. Exemplara”.

– Ca un omagiu adus scrierii ebraice, cartea contine si o culegere de poeme noematice, cu miza filosofica si simbolistica iudaica, Elegiile pentru V. Unele dintre ele au fost publicate in periodice romanesti si americane remarcabile.

DEVIS  GREBU – UN  DEMERS  DE  PARTEA  VALORII

Frenezia cu care Romania (spre deosebire, bunaoara, de Franta, de Germania, Olanda, Israel sau de Statele Unite, dar exemplele pot continua) isi marginalizeaza, isi neglijeaza si isi distruge intelighentzia este inegalabila. Iar politicile romanesti orientate impotriva valorilor sale autentice (apartinand modernitatii, deci critice, si apartinand eternitatii, deci universale) cunosc o recrudescenta mai ales in perioadele de criza.

In acest sens, perioada crizei actuale imi aminteste, prin toate componentele sale definitorii (0. falimentul statal, politic si economic, 1.radicalism , 2. extremism socio-politic, 3. atacul impotriva intelectualilor, artistilor si oamenilor de cultura liberi, 4. exhibarea comenzii de inregimentare xenofoba si fascista la dreapta si la stanga, in devalmasie), de crizele majore ale civilizatiei romanesti (insotite mereu de mari derapaje) din anii 30-40 si respectiv anii 50-60. In consecinta, astazi, atacul dat impotriva elitelor intelighentziei, artei si culturii majore este din nou foarte puternic.

Cine dirijeaza din umbra acest atac? Raspunsul e foarte clar: acest atac e dirijat de intreaga clasa politica si de clientela sa oligarhica si administrativa.

De ce au loc atacurile clasei politice la adresa intelectualilor si artistilor, a oamenilor liberi, in vremuri de criza?

Motivul este  limpede: in vremuri de criza, diriguitorii politici ai dezastrelor nationale (solidari transpartinici in demersurile de conservare a unor privilegii nemeritate) nu suporta nici valoarea si nici spiritul critic cu care veritabilii oameni de cultura si veritabilii creatori intervin in viata Cetatii, de partea Adevarului si a valorilor democratice, si impotriva regimurilor antidemocratice si incompetente, situandu-se de partea meritocratiei, a libertatilor si drepturilor omului si a ideilor de salvare prin meritocratie si munca.

Oamenii de cultura si de stiinta romani, artistii, scriitorii si creatorii romani traiesc astazi una din cele mai teribile tragedii (desi nu e prima si nici singura, pentru ca si crizele anterioare din istoria nationala recenta, enumerate mai sus, au generat, in epoca, prigoniri, suprimari si exiluri masive). In timp ce in ultimii douazeci de ani o clasa politica rapace si cinica, mai corupta decat toate celelalte de dinainte la un loc,  a transformat Romania intr-o colonie, si-a impus in administratie numai aghiotantii distructivi si a sustinut in mod activ si direct jaful national si asasinarea valorilor, … statul de drept a fost subminat, in timp ce elitele democratice au fost distruse de aceasta caracatita mafiota si au fost indepartate de la vizibilitatea meritata precum si de la exercitarea in viata publica a rolului, notorietatii si competentei pe care le merita.

Prostii si agramatii, veleitarii si cei mai imorali politruci au pus mana IN ULTIMELE DECENII pe destinele Romaniei, cu mari “performante” in distrugerea ei si deja semnand astazi decesul iluziilor populatiei si falimentele economic, moral si civic.

Esecul major sta, insa, in sacrificarea celor buni si merituosi, a celor valorosi, a geniilor si a excelentei romanesti profesionale, civice si etice. EXCELENTA ROMANEASCA ESTE CONDAMNATA LA MOARTE. REPREZENTANTII EI SUNT DECREDIBILIZATI CU BUNA STIINTA. In loc sa fie promovati, sunt vanati si exclusi. In loc sa fie asezati la locul cuvenit, sunt indepartati. In loc sa fie lasati sa gireze, prin competenta, ei (IARA NU NON-VALORILE NUMITE POLITIC SI INCOMPETENTE), circulatia valorilor si sa salveze Romania de la dezastru, tocmai ei sunt cei primii eliminati de catre patura politruca, anomica si lipsita de scrupule.

Din cauza acestui climat, Romania a decazut enorm in ultimii douazeci de ani, cand, la ravagiile lasate in urma de comunism si de post-comunism, s-au adaugat lipsa de educatie si de deontologie, distrugerea respectului pentru munca, geniu si valoare, pe fondul proliferarii exclusiviste a lumii clientelare si a oligarhiilor transpartinice.

DEVIS GREBU este un autentic geniu romanesc, recunoscut si onorat in toata lumea internationala buna, dar destinul sau il condamna sa apartina acestui spatiu romanesc ce nu cultiva nici respectul pentru eroi, nici cultul valorilor. Printr-o opera personala unica si complexa a adus lauri si numelui sau (laudat fie el) si tarii sale, fiindu-i un inalt ambasador si un prestigios reprezentant provenit din elita romaneasca majora. Atitudinea autoritatilor fata de domnia sa ramane, insa, tacerea ingrata, o tipica omerta prin care mafiile puterilor romanesti, intotdeauna politizate si deprofesionalizate, au ucis de-a lungul timpului mintile stralucite si continua sa o mai faca, in dauna idealurilor de progres.

Omul de cultura si cineastul Sorin Iliesiu isi lanseaza in aceste zile proiectul construirii unui lung-metraj despre DEVIS  GREBU. Remarc faptul ca prin astfel de proiecte tintite si duse la capat cu tenacitate, societatea romaneasca ii poate salva macar pe unii dintre cei ce sunt predestinati, prin opera si valoarea iesita din comun, sa vorbeasca si generatiilor urmatoare. Il sustinem din toata inima pe Sorin Iliesiu cu proiectul sau si lansam la randul nostru acest Apel la luciditate, omagiu si atentie fata de inca un geniu romanesc condamnat la ignorare: DEVIS  GREBU.

– Institutul Cultural Roman a editat un album Devis Grebu, pe care filosoful Mihai Sora il considera recent o carte de referinta a culturii nationale. A fost lansat la Paris, dar nu inca si in Romania.

Ignorat si marginalizat, Devis Grebu se pregateste sa emigreze din nou in Franta, la o varsta de peste 70 de ani, iar astfel Romania va pierde cu prea multa usurinta inca un  maestru genial.

* Putina lume cunoaste textele politice eminesciene din 1878 si respectiv 1881, dar si din anii de dupa, texte in care tanarul jurnalist si scriitor denunta pericolul importat mai ales dinspre Rasarit odata cu  socialismul si liberal-socialismul ce se propagau accelerat si in Romania. El nu ezita sa descrie fanatismul si teroarea aferente, logica asasinatelor politice, de care nihilistii rusi si socialistii germani din epoca erau entuziasmati, desi reprezentau la vremea aceea doar o secta.

In Timpul, din 6 august 1878, in articolul Din Petersburg ne soseste stirea… tanarul de 28 de ani avertiza cu gravitate: „O serioasa tulburare socialista ameninta Europa. Cetatenii liberi, independenti si infratiti ai republicii universale, care la noi sunt reprezentati prin partidul rosu, incearca a rasturna toate formatiunile pozitive de stat, si daca n-o vor putea face aceasta, ceea ce e de mai nainte sigur, totusi vor incerca s-o faca pe calea lor obisnuita a atentatelor, scenelor de ulite, tulburarilor etc., iar acele incercari incep a-si arunca umbrele de pe acum. Noi, care suntem siguri ca victoria principiilor liberale-socialiste insemneaza moartea oricarei culturi si recaderea in vechea barbarie, vom combate tendintele lor, ori in ce punct s-ar fi ivind“. – Lansarea cartii La anul, la Ierusalim, o carte  a marcat celebrarea unui eveniment important pentru Romania :

15 septembrie
ZIUA  INTERNATIONALA A DEMOCRATIEI
Romania este membra fondatoare a acestei sarbatori internationale.

Decizia privind sarbatorirea acestei zile a fost luata de Adunarea Generala a ONU, la 8 noiembrie 2007, ca rezultat al unei propuneri avansate initial de Qatar si de un grup de 8 state, printre care si Romania. DEMOCRATII  RECENTE

Contributia Romaniei la promovarea conceptelor si practicilor democratice in plan international a inclus:

– Gazduirea celei de a treia Conferinte Internationale a Democratiilor Noi sau Restaurate – Bucuresti, 2 – 4 septembrie 1997.

– Asigurarea Presedintiei miscarii Democratiilor Noi sau Restaurate in perioada 1997-2000.

– Initierea si promovarea, in perioada 2000 – 2005, in cadrul Adunarii Generale a ONU si al Comisiei Drepturilor Omului, a unei serii de rezolutii privind democratia, statul de drept si drepturile omului.

– Organizarea unei conferinte sub-regionale, in cadrul procesului Comunitatea Democratiilor, cu tema Parteneriatul dintre guverne, societatea civila si organizatiile internationale pentru intarirea democratiei – Bucuresti, 14-15 noiembrie 2003.

– Coordonarea, in perioada 14 -16 februarie 2005, sub auspiciile Comunitatii Democratiilor, a unei Misiuni internationale de experti pentru schimb de experienta si asistenta democratica in Georgia.

– Asigurarea, in 2007, a presedintiei Grupului de lucru nr. 3 (GL 3) privind cooperarea regionala si inter-regionala pentru guvernare democratica, al Comunitatii Democratiilor.

– Contributii voluntare la Fondul ONU pentru Democratie si la Fondul ONU pentru Asistenta Electorala.

– Reprezentarea Grupului est-european la ONU in Consiliul Consultativ al celei de-a sasea Conferinte Internationale a Democratiilor Noi sau Restaurate si in Consiliul Consultativ al Fondului Natiunilor Unite pentru Democratie.
