Experiment romanesc pe STS – 133
Ultimul zbor al navetei spatiale Discovery – misiunea NASA STS-133 – va transporta spre Statia Spatiala Internationala un experiment romanesc, realizat de Institutul de stiinte Spatiale din Bucuresti.
Cresterea si Supravietuirea Fungilor Colorati in Spatiu (CFA-A) este un experiment ce are ca scop determinarea efectelor pe care le au microgravitatia si radiatiile cosmice asupra cresterii si supravietuirii speciilor de fungi. Experimentul a fost realizat de Dumitru Hasegan, Institutul de stiinte Spatiale, Bucuresti. (ESA).
Lansarea navetei STS-133 – prevazuta pentru astazi 01 noiembrie – a fost amanata – deocamdata pentru 03 noiembrie – din motive meteorologice. Numaratoarea inversa a inceput. Urmariti in direct lansarea navetei cu experiment romanesc la bord la NASA.

Romanian experiment on STS – 133
The final flight of NASA’s space shuttle Discovery – NASA mission STS-133 – will transport a Romanian experiment created by the Romanian Institute for Space Science to the International Space Station.
Growth and Survival of Colored Fungi in Space (CFS-A) is an experiment designed to determine the effect of microgravity and cosmic radiation on the growth and survival of colored fungi species. Principal investigators: Dumitru Hasegan, Romanian Institute for Space Science, Bucharest. (ESA).
The launch of STS-133 – scheduled for November 1st was delayed until November 3rd- due to metheorological reasons. The countdown has begun. You can watch the launch of the shuttle live on NASA.
