Not long time ago Washington Post posted an article with a big title: JESUS OF SIBERIA and the beginning of this article explains the weird title:

“This past July, Kevin Sullivan, the Washington Post London correspondent, went to Siberia, 2,000 miles from Moscow, to interview a man who claims to be the reincarnation of Jesus Christ. Sergei Torop, now called Vissarion, “he who gives new life”, lives in a tiny new town built up around him which is named “Abode of Dawn” and is the spiritual leader of a new religion, Church of the Last Testament. He now has over 5,000 followers.”

The Lord Jesus Christ Himself warned us in the Scriptures that many people will come in His Name and that some of them will declare that they are are Messiah.

Not only the Jewish people, but the whole world in this age is expecting a messiah that will lead us to peace and prosperity.

Again the Bible is telling us that one will raise and will call himself god and will deceive the whole world and that he will bring a short time of prosperity and peace together with a fierce persecution against Christianity.

Like Vissarion we find hundreds or thousands in the history and all of them had people following them, because of their amazing claims and promises.

The antichrist will be different than all of these because he will be followed by the whole world and by people from all religions.

What will make his uniqueness will be his diabolical power of making miracles and convincing the whole world that he is the one they are longing for.

But why only a few people will see this? Why the majority will follow him?

There are few answers that we can give:

First people will be desperate and disappointed about religion, politics and economy becoming vulnerable to believe something that will be close to the truth. With so many lies surrounding us, it will come somebody who will declare some major truths and will have the courage to face the reality.

He will be so well intentioned, he will be the one that wants to save the world from self destruction and help our unbalance society to find the right path to survival and peace.

He will be a hero.

People are longing for heroes. If we don’t have them, we create them. We need heroes to give us strength and courage to face every day’s life problems.

Antichrist will be our hero because he will accomplish what no one else ever accomplished, will gather the whole world together in one great and prosperous new world, where there will be no religious differences and no wars.

A place where will be at least “a chicken in every pot”, where everybody will be happy and will worship something that they see: the antichrist.

Isn’t this the dream of millions of people who are fighting against God everywhere? They want to worship something that’s scientifically and empirically proved, and all of them will be so happy to find him.

All the movies are presenting this personage like a negative one, but as his father satan he will pose as an angel of light and in the name of security, prosperity, progress and evolution of the mankind he will take our freedom to live our privacy, to profess our own beliefs and to have private property.

The Bible is warning us that we will be marked and we will not have any freedom to buy or to sell without this mark and also the one that will not accept it will be declared enemies of peace, terrorists, extremists and the whole world will agree that they deserve to die.

In this way he will do a great service to humanity cleaning the society of people who were always a problem for it because they always believed in “Bible stories” that were “never proved scientifically”.

They were always the trouble makers that destroyed the peace and harmony of a society where everybody should live according to the new law.

Maybe these simple thoughts will make you think about this matter from a different perspective and you’ll not be so amazed by the fact that more than 5000 people are following Vissarion in Siberia.

Maybe this will make you understand that even you may be easily deceived to believe the greatest lie of the whole history.

If you are not a christian you’ll believe it with your whole heart and you will be so happy thinking that finally the truth about Bible and God prevailed and you were right: everything is a big invention of corrupt church.

But my dear friend soon you will realize that nobody was more deceived than you were and you’ll understand too late that there is only one truth and that truth is Jesus Christ.

My prayer and desire for you is to realize today that you will have an eternal destiny that will be decided right here and right now and I hope from my whole heart that you will make the right decision.

If you are a christian be very careful to the way you live, the way you listen to what others are saying about Bible and Jesus Christ and make sure that your desires and God’s desires and don’t let yourself be fooled by the promises that this world is making to you.

If you have a wrong relationship with Jesus Christ and with the Word of God you will be doubtless one of the millions of victims that will follow the antichrist.

If your hope in Jesus is only for this world you are most miserable of all men and will be twice deceived.

Not all the things that seem good are righteous. Be vigilant and stay deeply anchored in the Word of God, analyze permanently your life and your priorities, wait faithful for our Lord Jesus Christ to come back as He promised and don’t believe the deceivers that are coming before Him.
